    snip

Hasbro shares are more than 4% lower in premarket trading after the company said it would eliminate about 1,000 positions from its global workforce this year, or about 15% of full-time employees, as the toymaker looks to cut costs in a tough macroeconomic backdrop.

    end snip

The warning bells are ringing. More folks losing their jobs. Sadly, in this country something could have been done about it but instead for 2 years they attacked the regular folk and held Kabuki theater going after a former POTUS.

Priorities in DC are all warped yet Democrat voters voted for this

Couldn’t ask for a better job market to lose your job.

The unemployment rate in December fell to 3.5%, and on an unrounded basis, the unemployment rate came in at 3.468%, the lowest since 1969.

In less than a month, what laws did the GOP house pass that got past the democrat senate and the brain dead democrat president who created the most jobs in history?

Jobs are going away forever. We will have to adapt to it instead of denying reality.

Automation will take over most of our jobs over the next 10 - 20 years.

How are we going to deal with that reality is a more important question than trying to fight the future.

it doesn't matter whether these jobs were lost to automation or not, automation is going to replace us.

They just more right before Christmas. And they even fired a ton of money from the only department keeping them afloat. And they managed to piss off the majority of their player base with TERRIBLE attempts at money grabs.

It's more companies are reacting to the GOP led House holding the nation hostage while trying to remove a president who has brought us the highest stock market in history.

Ok. My guess is your constant complaints about natural business events are some catastrophic omen. You've been posting doom and gloom and it is old and without merit.

It's interesting, isn't it, how the OP's constant posts about job losses stopped when Trump took office in early 2017, and then restarted when Biden was in office:

    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...q=jobs&o=date&c[title_only]=1&c[user][0]=6512

It's almost like job losses didn't occur under Trump. Or, if they did, they weren't important to the OP.

Isn't the forum search function fun.....

Learn a trade, automation can't make you redundant. Also, they reckon AI could cancel 3% of construction jobs, but they're the pen pushers and managers.

So learn a trade, or two or more, go self employed and you won't need worry.

Wait, you mean that people aren’t buying board games anymore ?

HOLY CRAP…WHAT WILL WE DO ?

Stevie Wonder saw this one coming, and this isn't due to anything political, it is because they make products nobody uses anymore

I agree, that posters threads are just getting old and are anecdotal at best. Every company, especially the very large ones are always transforming themselves to get the most out of their commerce domain. This one was a global cut, not just the US, and the devil is in the details. They may have sold a section of their business off which basically happens every day with the very large ones.

Hasbro had huge factories in Pawtucket, Rhode Island that employed thousands up until the mid eighties … but politicians shipped all the manufacturing to Mexico and Asia …

so don’t tell me anything about the Biden admin … Hasbro has been dead in the US for quite some time …

Employment rate doesn't matter if it is a new generation that doesn't have children or believe in buying toys for them.

Oh, that's nothing. There was another Trump loving rightist here that posted a scathing OP blaming all libs and Democrats for AZ Republicans having been found to commit more fraud in the 2020 election in that State.

LOL, that thread was comedy gold.
