Lets make one thing clear; I am NOT accusing you of lying. I am merely accusing you of being lazy. YOU were lied to, and you repeated the lie as truth, because you didn't have the desire to fact check it first. Trump did NOT "receive over $7M from foreign countries while he was prez", Trump's businesses did. This isn't your lie, this is the lie of the propaganda you are basing your opinion on. This only becomes your lie if, after you realize it's untrue, you continue to propagate it.

No, but they are not insults, either. Calling you a jerk would be an insult. Calling you a bigot would be an insult, but if you recommend policies which, on their face, in my view, are cruel to children, then questioning your compassion, your empathy, is fair game.

If you can't handle such a fair game question, then don't recommend policies that are cruel to children. If you think the premise of the question is flawed, that's fair, then state your reason, but don't accuse me of insulting you when the correct thing for you do to is challenge the premise of the question, that I could understand.

It's a question witch is premised on criticism, and criticism isn't necessarily an insult, depends on the delivery, and I don't think my delivery was an insult. You might not like it, but it is premised on what you previously expressed, which, to my eyes, appeared to be cruel to children. Sure, my premise could be at fault, then the right thing, as i said, would be for you to challenge the premise, but what you don't like doesn't equal insult, necessarily.

It's not rocket science. (I get it, by your standard, 'it's not rocket science' is an insult. Let's just put it this way, in my 30 years on the internet, you are the first guy who could accuse such an innocuous statement as an 'insult'.) This is normal speech. People, in normal conversation, would say, 'it's not rocket science' and in no way are they trying to insult you. one could easily get the idea that you are thin-skinned, and that would be legitimate criticism. I get it, people don't like to be criticized, but you should like it, and, in fact, you should thank people for it. When we go around in life, people hold up mirrors to you, they react to what you say, and if you don't like the reaction, look both ways, not just them.

This is good advice. I'm old enough to give it and you're young enough to receive it.

Yeah, I know, the mods aren't going to like this post.

    It's a difference without significance.

he owns the companies, he profits from them. If what he puts in his pocket doesn't amount to $7 million, note that the emoluments clause has NOTHING to do with amounts, he violated it just as much as if he received only 1/10 of it, or all of it.

The ONLY salient fact is a violation of the constitution, and that doesn't change with your nitpicking on that particular fact.

Every one of them was in a form which was denigrating. There is no reason to question by empathy. When you question it, it implies I am lacking in that quality.

Just stick to the subject matter.

The quote was from the New York Post which I have quoted twice. The statement was made to Tucker Carlson who was on twitter, thus no video of the statement.

Joe does not have to receive money to be involved in money laundering, influence peddling and bribery... just as long as Joe's family benefits from selling the Biden "brand" and he knew about it..

It is not without significance, with regards to the OP, because "foreign countries" did not give Trump $7M, which was the claim of the OP.

The purpose of the emoluments clause is, in short, to prevent the executive from being bought. So, in order to support your new 'emoluments' premise, you should try to show that A) The business in question was profitable, and B) The money taken in by Trump's businesses from foreign actors was transferred to him in such a way as to link the payment to the foreign actor, and C) That there was some expectation of Trump to take favorable action by the foreign actor, because he spent money at Trump's properties, and D) That the money spent was in excess of standard fees charged for services rendered, and E) That he somehow used his unique and elevated position as President to personally profit.

Proving any of these would help support your 'emoluments' case.

All you have to do is answer the question, and if the premise is faulty, your answer will clarify it.

It is pertinent to the subject matter. it seeks to understand why you would support such a policy.

It could be very well because you lack compassion, or it could be for another reason, the question seeks to understand.

Just answer the question, it's related to what you said, previously.

Do you, or do you not, have a quote that is direct from Archer's lips, taken form an under oath transcript?

    Yes, or no?

If Yes, then what is the quote, and link to the transcript.

If not, then my comment stands.

He's governing countries his businesses are profiting from. [

That's a conflict of interest. Prior presidents in the same situation divested.

    trump did not.

Why? Because Donald Trump is corrupt.

The issue is Trump's character, not your nitpicking on an unimportant difference.

Since Biden has not threatened any other corrupt official out of a couple hundred countries, it is just one more piece of evidence requiring investigation. At some point with Biden's obvious lying, you should conclude that there is a possibility that he is not the innocent old man you think he is.

So, why accuse anyone at all?? Not nec to get personal like that, when all you need to do is present YOUR point of view.

This is about Trumps character and GREED. He will accept money from anyone, regardless if is appropriate or not (or ethical / legal or not) He knows and uses the power of money to HIS advantage and if it is unethical , he will manipulate things so as to get away with it.

    Your sentence is incoherent.
    Your characterization is ridiculous.

His 'lies' are trivial, and are minimal, his speech today was impactful and profound, the kind of speech Trump is utterly incapable of.

Name one thing he said that was a lie. There no lies here, only hard hitting truths, truths that are deep and meaningful. This is what matters.

But you won't even listen to it. You will scour the internet for triviality and make hay out of because of your hatred of Joe Biden.

His speech starts at @33:00 into the video.
    https://www.youtube.com/live/NM-hlE_k3Q4

    Trump's lies are destroying democracy.

Here Trump has the supreme arrogance to claim that the 'civil war could have been negotiated' implying that if he were president, there would have been no civil war.

No president in history is that arrogant, but Trump is, and you said, a few days ago, you would pick Trump over Biden. I'll find the post, you did say it.

given the choice between Trump and Biden, I will choose Trump.

You said that you don't want either, but you will choose Trump if the choice is between Biden and Trump.

I don't want either, either, but Trump will destroy the country and he is top to bottom, a despicable human being, he has no redeemable qualities, is a fake, he does not go to church, and lies about his being religious,

    https://www.thebulwark.com/the-four-lies-trump-tells-evangelical-christians/

You can lie about a lot of things, but when you lie to religious people about your fake 'christianity', in order to get their vote, that's really despicable.

Not to mention he has 91 felony counts.

Your word isn’t credible. You still believe “your own trusted news sources” that say things are better today than they were under President Trump.

Things are bad today because of the potato you voted for and his 150 executive orders that he was ORDERED to make on day 1 in office.

Go ahead and say what you will.

Just like the Dems are going to shout RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA and INSURECTION INSURECTION INSURTECTION. The difference is we have hard evidence of the influence peddling and you STILL have not been able to state with supporting evidence what was the legitimate business or service for which the Biden family was getting the tens of millions into their personal bank accounts.

There is no hard evidence of Joe Biden being involved in any kind of illegal activity.

If there were the Republicans in the House would have finished up the inquiry by now and voted to impeach. They haven't. And why haven't they? Because they have bupkis and they know it.

This thread isn't about any of that. Read the OP. The title of the OP (written by the OP) claims that "Trump received over $7 million from foreign countries as prez." This is deceptive at best, and just plain untrue. The OP went on to say, well "emoluments clause", and when that was shot down, switched to "conflict of interest".

Conflict of interest is probably the best argument, because Trump absolutely should have divested to avoid all this BS. But there was no REQUIREMENT for him to have done so, that I know of.

"Republicans in the House"... I find that just so funny...
There is soft evidence... more than enough "reasonable suspicion" uncovered by Comer to start a DOJ investigation. What did Joe know and when did he know about his son selling the Biden "brand" to enrich his family? THE FACT Hunter has Secret Service babysitting him throughout, even after their coverage had elapsed is very telling just how corrupt our own government is and involved in it all...
There is no hard evidence of Joe Biden NOT being involved in any kind of illegal activity by a corrupt DOJ who's job is to investigate such activity. The DOJ has had the laptop and same information the "Republicans in the House" longer than "Republicans in the House" has had it..

Not only would Joe be getting SS/government feedback, but the messiah Obama would be also...
