The term neo-con doesn't refer to someone 'conning Republicans', it refers to the typical big oil tycoon politician(see: Desantis's statement) that is huddled up with Boeing and the likes. And that's Haley to a T. I bet if I took a minute to search, most of the defense industry on the conservative side has already pledged to her campaign.

What people didn't notice about the 2016 elections, is we said 'F NO' to the Establishment. And that no still exists, and will exist beyond Trump

actually neo-con was originally coined back when American democrats became cynical about US primacy after the Vietnam debacle and became neo-isolationists, Many Jewish democrats worried about their party no longer backing Israel and some of them ended up supporting the GOP because they saw the GOP as being more likely to support Israel. NEOCON became a term for people who remained liberal on social issues but backed American foreign policy that was less isolationist than what the dems had become. Many neocons still supported things like abortion and gun bans (Charles Krauthammer for example). Later some misused the term to mean some sort of uber conservative.

I see. I wasn't on earth during those times. So the misuse is what I've come to know as the traditional term: Some fat cat warmonger like that of Donald Rumsfield who sent us into Iraq and Afghanistan. And today, the EU situation is their little pet peeve and a vast majority of Americans smelled that turd for what it is, and reject the idea.

If that term tickles feathers, I'll just say war mongers won't be elected any time soon.

Any evidence that Haley is a warmonger?

And I don't mean supporting the Ukraine war. Almost all countries in Europe support the Ukra6 war, and it's not because they are warmongers.

I believe it will be Nikki vs Kamala in November for president.

Is that because you believe that Nikki will beat Trump and then Biden will hand over the reins to Kamala?

I'll put it like this: Of course the EU supports the war, Ukraine is basically a proxy over which both the EU/Russia are fighting. But, we, the US, have no bone to pick in that fight. We're not a part of the EU and there's no strategic interest for the US. There isn't even the XE/Blackwater oil controversy as the case was in Iraq.

Logistically, we have no reason to give this commitment. But, ah, this commitment is necessary. Necessary for whom? Europe, that's who. The European Union is a chihuahua. It barks a lot, and it can bark mainly with the US as a backer. If we weren't backing the EU, they would have to actually solve the problems in the region and come to a negotiated peace.

The whole NATO thing in part is a huge failure because it was supposed to bring peace to Europe, but instead it is the torch to any future conflicts. And that said peace in Europe is the main(and only) thing we ask of the EU.

We are basically a merchant state, and our client is the European Union. Just as the British paid German mercenaries during the American Revolution.

    Just Ukraine?

Don't forget Israel, the Red Sea, Korea and the South China sea as well...

Look I'll be blunt. I think American isolationism is like pissing in your pants. It might feel warm to some at the start but then cold eventually.

I am not suggesting returning to aggressive anti-communism or whateverisms of the past, but I also think it is in American self-interest to keep serious incursions of the status quo in check.

And obviously in the 'west's' interest. That is a given.

Now that Desantis has dropped out, that leaves Haley and Trump.

Democrats know the only way to get rid of Joe is to get rid of Donald first. It will be all out now with DeSantis gone to do that. I think at least a dozen states will take Donald off the ballot.

So, is Nikki Haley going to drop out after losing in New Hampshire, or will she allow for herself to be utterly embarrassed in her own State of South Carolina before dropping out BEFORE Super Tuesday?

Anyone who is still pretending that there is any sort of competitive race is lying to themselves.........

So, no more qualified candidates? You didn't list any.
Nor did you say what you think they did.

We don't know that for sure. If she were to drop out after New Hampshire, so be it.

    Doesn't surprise me.

Trump will still win NH and Haley will quickly go bye bye.

You need someone to recap a year of KJP at the mic, the Transportation secretary finding himself engulfed in crisis after crisis, one of these guys upload_2024-1-23_12-5-4.png getting fired for grand larceny, and the other being more qualified as a Trans Secretary.
But I won't recap it for you cuz you should have paid closer attention yourself.
