SC has partially closed primaries, which means the parties choose whether or not they allow independents to vote, but I do not believe registered Dems can vote in GOP primaries.

Correction, the above is was NC, not SC. South Carolina does not have party registration, so primaries are open by default.

I believe she would, but I suppose it would be RNC decision. Unfortunately RNC outlets, like FOX, are very much against her nomination.

What you said earlier belies point 2 here. I doubt that refugees and immigrants are overly interested in going to Boston to scare voters and help an anti-immigrant candidate win the coming election.

Nope. Every immigrant who boards a bus agrees to his/her destination (they have choices) and goes voluntarily. Our daughter teaches English as a second language to immigrants in NYC, so we get it straight.

As if they understand where they're being bused and why.

    They're being used as pawns.

They are being bused to destinations they choose. Often they have family or other connections there, and it's certainly better than sleeping on the street in Eagle Pass.

... and I was correct: Trump still won.

If Haley wishes to completely embarrass herself in SC and Super Tuesday, then that's on her and her globalist elitist donors, but as far as I am concerned, the primary race was over before it ever began, and the IA and NH results only further confirm that position.

All the drive in the world doesn't get her any more votes at the end of the day. Main Street commoners hate her, plain and simple. She can only attract the vote of "vote blue no matter who" and the "cocktail club" "professionally Republican", who in the general will largely turn around and vote blue no matter who, while the MAGA supporters will either vote blue, write in Trump, or stay home.

She’s not thinking about beating Trump at this point. She’s not stupid. She knows she has no chance.

She’s going to stay in until the last minute. Her goal now is to force Trump into selecting her as his running mate to balance the ticket and unite the party.

She’s doing what George Bush did in 1980. It worked for him as he was elected in 1988 on Reagan’s coattails.

Haley wants to do the same thing in 2028.

Trump got voted into and out of his position.
    They got appointed into theirs.
We are, after all, talking about DEI appointments.
Theirs are examples of where the practice leads because merit isn't the primary factor.
Maybe you don't know what the DEI acronym stands for and why it's a helluva poor way to build a quality workforce.
    Is that it?

    Looks like 12-9. Pretty close.

And now this, which is what I have been waiting for. Manchin in, - Biden out.

Manchin hints at potential third-party run after Super Tuesday: ‘People are looking for options’
Sen Manchin says there will be 'options available' after Super Tuesday in March

Apparently her other goal is to poison the already bad Republican voter data by getting all sorts of Democrats to vote for her in the primary contests. It means that in future elections, those voters are going to be tagged as a "Republican primary voter" and Republicans are going to waste their money doing outreach towards those otherwise Democrat voters who have absolutely no intention of ever voting for a Republican in a general election.

**** her. **** the Uniparty. **** her ever being any sort of consideration for VP because that'll be "Thirty Pence 2.0"

I doubt that she would ever have accepted the VP slot if it were offered.

I think she will. Trump can only serve one term. If she’s his VP that makes her the heir apparent in 2028. She wants to the POTUS. If she has to do four years as VP there no big sacrifice

Nicki Haley has not chance. All she's going to do is pull a campaign 2000 John McCain and waste campaign money, that will be needed for the general election, on a useless primary fight.

If she loses badly in South Carolina, her home state, she should suspend her campaign immediately.

She’s going to stay in and try to force Trump into selecting her as his running mate on the basis of it uniting the party. Then she’s set up for a more effective run in 2028. That’s exactly what George Bush did in 1980. It worked for him.

Sure there are examples. So what. Those people are still qualified. Or they wouldn't be considered in the 1st place.

How do you know DEI is a poor way to build a work force. Diversity brings things to the table that others may not, just due to experience of life issues.

You said same to me about Haley and NH. She lost.
She has no chance in the R party voters of today. There's to many that won't vote non white and non male.

Pence had same goal. Didn't work out so well for him.
He will never gain another R seat. Anywhere.

Most prices are too high. What does that have to do with my comment about Haley?

Her lack of appeal with conservatives has nothing to do with race or gender. You liberals are stuck on race and gender. There are many other factors out there. It’s time to wake up and face reality.
