At this point, the only real diffference between Greg Abbott and George Wallace is that Wallace was able to walk away from his confrontation with Federal authorities..

Biden has sued both Arizona and Texas for trying to secure the border.

You should have read that as everything a state does to control the border.

Let me put it this way. There is a leak on a boat that's threatening all the passengers. Instead of a certified boat worker fixing it, you and I go fix it and the ship's captain tells us to stop.

I always thought any law enforcement officer could stop any crime he's witnessing.

Why would I be fixing a boat?

To save the ship or preventing damage to that ship. But it sounds to me like you'd rather go down with it than fix the leak.

I know nothing about fixing boats. I am not sure why anyone would task me with such a job.

Does anyone get the feeling that someone in the Biden admin is lying to us?

Biden says border hasn’t been secure for the ‘last 10 years’

President Joe Biden said that the southern border hasn’t been secure for the “last 10 years,” a response he gave before addressing a bipartisan group of mayors at the White House on Friday.

When asked by Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich if the U.S.-Mexico border is secure, Biden said, “No, it’s not.”

“I haven’t believed that for the last 10 years, and I’ve said it for the last 10 years. Give me the money.”

Actually, he said he has not believed the border is secure in the last 10 years.

I don't ever recall the border being 100% secure.

Once again, Americans and America last.

Denver hospital system may collapse due to migrant crisis: 'We are turning down patients

DENVER (TND) — A Denver hospital system told the city Monday it faces unprecedented challenges due to the ongoing migrant crisis.

Denver Health CEO Donna Lynne warned the center is in a crucial moment due to unexpected costs associated with immigrant visits.

The hospital closed 15 beds, reduced raises and postponed renovations after losing $2 million last year.

“Because our costs exceed our revenues, we are turning down patients every day, particularly in the area of mental health and substance abuse,” Lynne determined, according to the Denver Post.

Eight-thousand migrants from Central America accounted for approximately 20,000 visits in 2023. Denver Health asked the Federal Emergency Management Agency to provide funds for immigrants’ medical costs. The state and federal governments aren’t reimbursing the hospital, which spent $136 million for patients who didn't pay.

And banks still get robbed, does that mean we shouldn't try to prevent it?

How would you feel if I asked you to make your home as secure as the border, what would you say to that?

Yes, we should prevent robbing banks.

How do you define "as secure as the border"?

My definition is we keep as many people as possible out of the country until they have a proven and legitimate reason to be here and then get permission to enter. Unproven asylum claims are not legitimate. Taking someone's word they're oppressed or escaping violence is not legitimate until proven and they can make their case at a US embassy in their country, especially when that's what all the illegals are told to say.

Unproven asylum claims are the law.

They can prove them in the country they're in or the country they're passing through. And why are they coming here and not other countries?
