The court said the feds can cut the wire. It didn’t rule about anything else. Especially not ordering Texas to stop placing it. Biden is going to have to ultimately choose between backing down to the speaker of the House and all GOP governors or upping the ante and nationalizing red states national guard units.

Trump didn’t threaten blue states that defied federal drug laws or the ones that were sanctuary states that harbored fugitives from ICE or the states that didn’t restore order on its streets in the face of organized lawlessness. That’s the difference.

I love it. Well said President Trump. Biden must accept that America and the bulk of the American people are in open civil disobedience/passive resistance or rebellion against his policies at the border and support the backing of the current president into a corner and make him back down in utter humiliation or escalate by nationalizing every state national guard that’s sent to Texas…

"Things improved" for Democrats means more quickly and efficiently processing illegals.

I haven't seen details of the bill. I don't think anyone has other than those involved but it is possible.

I have heard there is increasing funding for technology solutions for securing the border which I am in favor of.

It is kind of sad. In the old days when regular people discussed politics it was the masses being disappointed that government was not getting things done regardless of the party. It was always the people of America vs the slick talking politicians. I assume that is why people like Clinton got the nickname "Slick Willie". Now we have regular people defending their leaders using the same political talk and avoidance as the sleazy politicians. I really do not understand. I may support a politician because they promise policies I want. If they do not deliver I stop supporting them. They are not my friend or my relative. I feels not urge at all to defend them beyond pointing to their accomplishments.

I am waiting for this to play out but I have seen similar reports. It is very sad.

If the democrat senate kills the bill then it will be their fault. I have heard reports that many democrats say the bill gives away too much. That makes me think it may be good.

But then people like you and I can also judge the results and if that is all that happens it will be a failure. So again what are we afraid of? Our goal is we have to fix the border. IMO if the bill gets signed and no progress get made by the time the election rolls around it will be a failure for the Biden administration.

I think the GOP Congress was hopeful. But it could have been false hope because the trumpublicans have been only barely able to maintain a majority. They can't pass gas, and they're full of it.

And how would you define "progress"? Funding more border agents? The border agents they have are all being used to more quickly and efficiently process illegals. Nothing in the legislation ensures they will be used to prevent illegal crossings as intended. It also increases the limits on how many can legally immigrate. As if we have a shortage of impoverished immigrants.
AND we can all see what we experienced in the 4 years under Trump with the same laws from Congress and less funding than we now operate under. Illegal immigration at a reasonable level and improving every day.

    Exactly. They didn't "pass" ****.
Now the Senate want's to pass boarder protection but trump doesn't want it passed so President Biden doesn't get a win and looks bad. That trumpublican house is beyond broken.

A solution which involves legalizing the illegals that are already here is not a solution, it is suicide. The solution we are looking for involves mass deportation of illegals. That is nowhere in the bill but it is what Trump has vowed to do day one. If the Democrats have a bill that does involve mass deportation, the Republicans damn well better sign it. That of course will never happen. The neocon part of the Republican party wants mass illegal immigration just as rabidly as the Democrats.

Why are red states trying to impede with border patrol and making it harder for them to do their job to protect our borders? If this is such a major concern to rightists, why is your party not voting on any legislation to address this issue? Why are they allowing that fat, mango traitor to tell them to not pass any immigration bill to help the southern states simply because mango mussolini wouldn't want this to look good for Biden?

You say the rule of law? Those same rules also apply to Biden. He is literally challenging a state's right to secure their border and protect the citizens of Texas. It's Biden's move now. This is the most important issue facing the US today. Everyone should be focused on this. The Supreme Court did not rule against any state's right and the responsibility to secure their border with a foreign country and protect the citizens.

The amount of posters that act like politicians with constant use of buzz words and never really answering a single question is astounding.
