Nonsense. The oath is to ensure our laws are faithfully executed. Raising the bar in this circumstance would be reversing Trump E.O.’s (done) and seeking the authority to take action from Congress(pending).

Utilizing not funding our allies in a period of crisis (Ukraine, Israel, Taiwan) has fostered an immigration deal on Republican terms. Terms they’ve sought for decades. Cold as hell negotiating but effective in this environment. Seize the day, take the deal, and celebrate would be the rational response from the Party.

Unfortunately we’re not dealing with rational actors.

 

I didn't say he shut it down... I said he probably WANTED it shut down.... or more likely was TOLD he wanted it shut down, because he has no real policy thoughts.....
