I suspect that only applies to the audience inside the US.

Outside the US, the Super Bowl audience is very small.

Over a billion people watched the moon landing.

The NFL likes to claim that the Super Bowl is the most watched television event since then, every once in a while.

But keep in mind, that the US was about a third smaller in population in 1969.

 

Damn good game, with a slow start. But my team won so that’s all that matters!!

 

Which is why you'd enjoy our game (not technically 'ours'...we took it from the Brits...). In a game of 2 x 40 min halves, most of that time is action.

 

Yeap and back to singing that anthem loud and proud with no jackass kneeling. How could this not be the most watched in America, we've got us around 10m new people getting free cash and places to stay, way offsets any homeless americans no longer watching.

You didn't get that? Especially given a bunch of old white men cried when blacks were protesting racism and a song called lift up your voice and sing was sung at the beginning of the Super Bowl. They claimed their boycott was going to destroy the anti racist NFL.

Nothing says oppression like being paid millions of dollars to play football. The average NFL player wouldn't know oppression if it was marked on the side of a Louisville slugger baseball bat.

I admire the days of the local ballclubs and regional contests. This multi-billion dollar national enterprise redistributes wealth, brings ecological disaster to already overburdened cities, robs taxpayer dollars, and spawns an endless series of overpaid meathead celebutards.

They have short memories and rely on their infotainers and tabloid types to feed them things to be outraged about.

Football will always be a big thing. It's to engrained in our culture.

Thier support of terrorist groups like BLM is still irrational and disgusting. And ending racism being a goal has never been a bad one but implies its a significant issue...which it isn't.

And the unpopular reality is, ehat little racism does exist is overwhelmingly directed at white people, not coming from them.
