Last night, the House voted to approve articles of impeachment against [border chief] Secretary Mayorkas. Desperate times call for desperate measures. We had to do that. He has abdicated his responsibility. He’s breached the public trust and he’s disregarded the laws Congress has passed.

But much more has to be done, of course, to secure the border and what the Senate produced this week [the $95 billion aid bill] is silent on that issue…


…The Republican House will not be jammed or forced into passing a foreign aid bill that was opposed by most Republican senators and does nothing to secure our own border.

It’s time for Washington to start showing some love to Americans. Valentine’s Day is a good day to point this out.

We need to listen to the American people and their needs and take action. And that’s why House leadership will continue to govern with Americans’ interests at heart…

The speaker is right. Government should pay attention to the needs and desires of ordinary Americans. The big news is that no foreign aid will be approved by the house until the regime agrees to control the border to the satisfaction of the House majority.

The House rejected the Senate border deal after they themselves, including Crooked Donnie, insisted that the Senate work on (for 4 month) a bipartisan deal to fund the border in order to get Israel and Ukie aid passed. Then when a deal was eminent, the did the Trump 3 Card Monty and made up impossible excuses. You seem unable to process what's actually happening?

The core provision in the Democrat / RINO Republican border bill would have allowed 5,000 illegals to cross the border every day before the president would be obligated to close it. That translates to 1,825,000 illegal crossings per year which is little improvement over what we have now.

Furthermore, many of us do not trust Biden on this issue. He has ignored the immigration laws since he took office. There is no reason to believe that his administration would enforce the law now.

 

Pass all the legislation in the world, it’s meaningless if the morons in power choose not to enforce it.
