We have a few springs that spring up and flow for a few days after a big rain. They stay underground till it rains.

hey Cat, it is so good to see you posting. Were the geese tame or wild? We have a few herons come in on a pond that is down hill. They are a fun bird to watch.
Get a border collie he will take care of your goose problem. He won’t hurt them but he will keep them busy flying.

I took cuttings so every plant is a clone. I will wait till the flowers fade.... maybe take some cuttings....mow at 12 inches down to about 4 inches. Try to crowd the weeds.

Spring was springing and now the cold is coming back a few days Blah Bah Humbug. Buried my favorite kitty this past weekend which has left a void none of the others can fill *sniff*, She was chill and loving. The remainders are high-strung schizophrenics.

Planted some taters, green onions and radishes and now I must wait reluctantly until April 20thish frost free date. Tomato seedlings doing OK so hopefully I can keep them alive until then.

That's sad. Hope she had a long happy life, but they definitely leave a hole.
How many others do you have?

Wow, all of your hard work is paying off. Beautiful plants. Will they eventually choke out the weeds? How about grass? Nice photos.

I am hoping weeds will be choked out. I will mow just over the tops after blooming. Will see. This is just year one for a lot of it. It should blanket the whole space eventually.

Officially 2; unofficially 4. There a couple community cats that more or less camp out at my house most days.

I really don't know. So far I am just planting saved seeds from one of those tomato medley grocery store things so they are all cherries. I will buy some sammich size tomato plants when it get closer to the end of next month. They never seem to be particularly consistent from year to year which ones they have at my regular garden plant store. They always have better boy and rutgers but beyond that you never know until you know.

That's cats for you. We had a lady complain our cat wasn't fed properly because it kept coming to her house asking for food. I asked what she gave it, "tinned salmon" she said, "I don't have anything else to give it"
Well I said I guess that's why you have our cat we give it cat food. ;-)

You are obviously the better choice for those two cats either because your food is better or you love is better. :)

LOL. I had a cat disappear for almost two years just to return out of the blue one day. When people were amazed I told them I was pretty sure whoever was feeding him better must have moved. I do let community cats come in during bad weather if they are so inclined. Had one lounging in the den all last night with the cold wind ripping through the area this week. I am pretty sure he used to be somebody's pet at some point just because he was so instantly loving once he trusted me enough to let me pet him (which took a few years to get to that stage). Anyway, TBH, it is not unheard of for my neighbors' cats just to walk in my front door and chill out or wait out a heavy rain. I also often leave the back porch door propped open with a couple of those pressure sensitive heating pads going in winter so the community cats can have a safe haven in winter weather. As long as they get along with my cats, I see no reason not to watch out for the others. A relative works for a petfood company so I can get dry or wet cat food pretty darn cheap compared to retail prices so it really isn't even expensive to feed them.

I have to get all of the psychos that gravitate to this store naturally since it's the overnight shift.

A lady who I happen to know has some mental difficulties came in the store and told me that the cartel is chasing her. I told her well don't bring them up here. I recommend you call the police cuz there's nothing I can do about it.

If it isn't something like that it's something like some other delusional person looking for robots under their car.

It's enough to make me seriously consider bringing my antique iron. Or at least leaving it locked up in the parking lot

I believe most of the psychotics are on meth. That is the most horrible drug ever.

If the dope itself wasn't bad enough you're already going to have people delusional because they've been up for three or four days with no sleep.

And what does one do when they've been up over 70 some odd hours and it's the middle of the night? Naturally go up to the store and give fat back a hard time.

That's handy. I have 4 cats, one official and 3 freeloading ferals.
TBF My cat did get the feral mother pregnant and the two kittens are fully domesticated now. The mother is still very weary of me but that doesn't stop her coming in to eat and crash out on the furniture.
The kittens are very friendly though and sleep on my bed etc.
Mind you they still run a mile if anyone else comes in.

Feeding 4 cats is costing me a fortune though. Last time I went shopping It cost £65 for me and £40 for them, and that has to last me a month.

I am there completely alone from midnight to 6:00 a.m.

I've been doing it over 3 years now and so far there hasn't been anything that I couldn't handle but the world seems to be getting more crazy and it's definitely one of those things you would rather have and not need than need and not have.

You never know what people are capable of these days. I do keep a can of brake parts cleaner behind the counter. if you've ever seen that spray out with Force and get any of it in your eyes you know that that could make you cease and desist hostilities. I would venture to say it's far more effective than pepper spray

Hiding robots under your car is just the sort of thing the cartels would do though.
You need to take these people more seriously.
What with the alien abductions and Bigfoot sightings you just can't be too careful these days.
