    Trump, thanks to his being subject to American democracy and justice, has the right to demand speedy trials and confront all the substantive evidence and sworn testimony (overwhelmingly by Republicans) that indicate his criminality.

    Contriving endless delays and irresponsibly lashing out at family members of officers of the court does neither.

    Cultish devotion has been known to provoke depraved violence.

    This is the most absurd legal argument I've ever heard. The idea that anyone, even Trump, should surrender their right to utilize due process because you want a rushed process and verdict to fulfill your political fantasies as quickly as possible is hilarious.

    People are "subject to democracy"? What the hell does that even mean?...lol

    The right to a speedy trial puts limitations on the government, not the defendant.

    The accused has a right to a speedy trial, not the government. The accused also has the right to petition the government for redress of grievances. That's why motions and challenges by the defendant are constitutionally protected.

    I never questioned Trump's right to contrive endless delays, although I do take exception to his irresponsibly lashing out at family members of officers of the court.

    He has consistently resisted his right to a speedy trial, although establishing his claimed innocence in his various prosecutions would serve his political ambitions.

    His verbal behavior is beyond deplorable. His lack of respect for the law.....be it breaking it when it suit s him, or defying it when caught and charged.......is dispicable. He is trashing the core value of the nation. Law and order that keeps the nation, societal structure civil ....providing the guardrails that are necessary.
    It is horrifying to see how destructive he is. He does not campaign in a constructive , effective manner. He is toxic , inflammatory, and continues to incite violence with his provocative words. It is as if he is pushing and pushing to test the limits of how far he can go. His supporters give him carte blanche.
