We could have also ignored the 9-11 attack on the World Trade Center. The chance that bin Laden would have become the U.S. dictator was also non existent.

The trouble is Egypt, nor any other Arab state will take them because they are a pain the in the butt. Their culture of one of hate, and they would distabilize any nation that has the compassion to accept them.

One side is fighting a religious war while the other is fighting to exist. Israel has a thriving population of non-Jews. Can you point out a thriving population of Jews, Christians, atheists, gay people, non-Muslims, or those critical of religion/government in the region surrounding Israel?

 

1 - The British government in the late 1940s (and their allies) with their ignorant and arrogant handling of what was them the British Mandate in Palestine (though it could be argued it goes back even further than that).

2 - They are (or at least have said as much) and that in itself is perfectly justified. The question is how they're going about it ad the consequences of their methods, which lead to the necessity for foreign humanitarian workers to be present and apparently allowed them to be targeted.

3 - Hamas should be blamed for what Hamas does but that doesn't mean Israel can't or shouldn't be blamed for what it does. The two things aren't mutually exclusive, and trying to make it so only invites the same attitude but the opposite way around, both in the region and wider public and political opinion.

I understood your position the first time. The religious war that has already cleansed most of the region of Jews, Christians, atheists, gay people, non-Muslims, and those critical of religion/government, is mostly won. There is one tiny strip land the religious side has not conquered. While it is a Jewish state, they are not trying spread Judaism to the Muslim-controlled countries. They are just trying to exist in a region of Jew haters.

To further put your position to the test. I will send you to the region to denounce religion. (Hypothetically, of course.) You can pick Israel or a Muslim-controlled country. Where would you go?
