Because Hamas hides behind the Palestinians and they hide the hostages in places which result in Palestinian deaths when they try to rescue them.

Very little of the direct attacks come from Iran. However, Iran does provide arms support and training. Israel does not want a direct war with Iran, It would result in a large number of Israel deaths and there is no assurance they could win.

 

When I first heard this news story of the aid caravan being hit I thought that such things are entirely unacceptable. Then when I looked more into it, I realized that the person who registered the aid convoy with the Israeli military and the person who conducted the attack on the convoy were two separate people. That means that there was a miscommunication, and, understandably, such things happen in a war zone. It's entirely understandable that such things happen in war. What can you do?

 

None of this would be happening if HAMAS hadn’t attacked Israel in a surprise, unprovoked attack on 7 Oct.

 

Hamas was retaliating to Israeli attacks against Palestine. Also IDF knew about the attack, they were warned by Egypt. Therefore you are wrong on every account. In future perhaps stick to the topic, it's much easier to understand.

The very first time I saw the headline, I was instantly afraid that Israel had opened fire on our own troops, the US Army Corp of Engineers, who are at this very moment constructing aid docks along Gaza's shores to bring in aid supplies by boat or ship into Gaza in massive shipments. Such a thing would have been alarming and a cause for war between the USA and Israel. Of course the USA wouldn't declare war on Israel, they would ignore it, but it would cause massive unrest here at home.

 

That answer shows Israeli government cowardice.

Why risk the big war when you can kill 50K innocents for your revenge?

 

The Palestinians voted for a Hamas government. Hamas chose to attack Israel and take hostages. The Palestinians have some control over their own destiny.

You call it revenge. How else do you kill the Hamas terrorists imbedded in with the Palestinians and with hostages hidden among the Palestinians.

There is a difference between cowardice and not throwing away lives unnecessarily. Hamas started the war with the blessing of Iran. Iran has no direct involvement. Most likely getting rid of Hamas will stop Iran at least for the time being.

Iran is ranked 14 out of the 145 countries ranked by Global Firepower. Israel is ranked 17. Generally the defending force has the advantage. It would be foolish for Israel to attack Iran. It would also be foolish of Iran to attack Israel because they are evenly matched and the defending force has the advantage.

 

Purposely targeting non-combatants is a war crime.

They are not purposely targeting non-combatants. The war crimes are being committed by Hamas who is purposely using them as shields.
