Maybe because Oct 7th was six months ago, while Israeli housing and starving people are happening today.

Murder? Not anyone's definition of murder. War isn't murder. In war people die. Often times, people are killed who weren't intended to be killed. This isn't murder. It is collateral damage and most countries (including Israel) try to avoid it. While we have made tremendous strides and gone to great lengths to make sure our ordinance is of the highest quality, it doesn't preclude collateral damage. Quality isn't perfect. Environmental factors effect accuracy. Also bad intelligence can cause targets to be misidentified.

    "Bayonetting <sic> of wounded"?
    "Murder of non-combatants"?

Are you referring to the murder of non-combatants conducted by Hamas on 10/7? Again, the death of the aid workers was not murder? Your statement could therefore be misconstrued to be a reference to all the murder and rape of non-combatants on 10/7.

What Hamas did was indeed bad. Not just bad, but horrific. I personally watched video of two children taken from the arms of their mother and father, then set on fire in front of the parents. When you murder, rape and kidnap unarmed men, women and children by the thousands you should expect all measure of retribution. If you play stupid games, expect stupid prizes. If you live by the sword, you shall die by the sword. When you conduct yourself in the manner the Palestinians did on 10/7 you cannot demand they inflict less harm in retribution. They have a right to do whatever is necessary to insure you never murder unarmed men, women, and children again. Even if this means killing 1000 murderers for every innocent victim on 10/7.

If a gang of 100 thugs falls upon your wife and children, killing your child and raping and killing your wife, are you only justified in killing 2 in response? Of course not. That would be silly. You would be justified in killing every single one of them and anyone who supported them in their heinous acts. If Hamas and the Palestinians don't like the response, they should have thought better before they acted. If they were of the expectation that Israel would be restricted to only killing the same number of armed soldiers as Hamas murdered unarmed women and children then unfortunately their ignorance as to the nature of justice will cost them 1000X fold if necessary. My apologies, but I can't be a Palestinian sympathizer after 10/7. I don't have any tear ducts. And it isn't up to me to set limits on the Israeli's right to defend themselves. It is war. Hamas and the Palestinians started it. It will unfortunately have to play out until both sides think the matter resolved.

Purposeful targeting of non-combatants as Israel is doing is a war crime.

It is a religious war and it started 3000 years ago.

iThink libdave was trying to say that what happened with the aid workers being killed is the same as when hamas broke out from prison on October 7. An eye for an eye appears to be his logic but by all means, ignore his Whataboutisms..

Not to mention the terrorists are known to use ambulances, schools, and hospitals as cover. Tragic, but not intentional.

I think they clearly didn't and don't target non-combatants. It serves them no purpose to do so. There will be collateral damage and Hamas and the Palestinians will attempt to use such incidents to claim Israel is the evil party. But there is little doubt who started this war.

"If it is war they want, it is war we will give them, until the mere thought of war is wiped from their minds for generations to come" - William Tecumseh Sherman

Unfortunately, 10/7 and 75 years of history indicate wiping such thoughts from the minds of the Palestinians may require more convincing than one would think. Obviously, attempts at living in peace and offerings of olive branches haven't been sufficient. Past actions and certainly their actions on 10/7 were as heinous or worse than that conducted by the NAZI's. And when you see a NAZI you kill a NAZI. No amount of reasoning will alter obviously barbaric programming.

Should Israel falter in their strides towards lasting peace, the US will take up the lance in their stead. We will do whatever is necessary to insure actions such as those on 10/7 do not go unpunished, regardless of the perpetrator. Whether they be Arab, Israeli, Muslim, Jew, Christian, whomever. To date, Israel has not requested our intervention. It is their right to handle this as they see fit. US intervention might not align with their views on when they feel they have accomplished a lasting peace. For now we will provide them the means to handle this as they deem appropriate and we will anxiously await some excuse to conduct our own cleansing of barbaric ideology. It isn't our place to pull them off when we feel Israel has sufficiently beaten the arses of those who waged war against Israel. Israel will know when Israel has secured their sovereign right to live in peace.

I believe you misunderstood me. I don't believe in an "eye for an eye". I believe in a head for an eye. If you or anyone else doesn't like it, I suggest you don't poke my eye (or even scratch it). This is the nature of war. If you pick a fight, don't complain and expect sympathy when you get your butt handed to you. If you hurt my wife or kids I will not stop at equitable injury. I will do whatever is necessary to convince you of the error in your ways. I will end any such thoughts in the future, including those in the minds of whoever put you up to it.

Like I said, what happened to the aid workers was tragic. I am sure Israel will look into it and attempt to put processes in place to limit such collateral deaths in the future. But it obviously wasn't intentional. It does Israel harm not benefit. It is Hamas who benefited from the incident.

That's basically what eye said. You believe in violent revenge.

That's GRATE but with all due respect, that's not something we here give any credence to in our council of the holy land

    but good luck with that

dadoalex has already explained in plain English why and for what purpose the aid workers are targeted. "It's no mystery" as he perfectly surmised. It's entirely on you that you can't fathom the obvious.

This is not even critical thought, this is basic intelligence. Please don't give me more cause for concern over the education levels of my American brethren

Give me hope! I'm begging you right now..:truce:

this collateral damage excuse is getting a lot of mileage.

Collateral damage to pre arranged well marked civilian vehicles in THREE separate locations.

No this is about Israel intimidating ais workers, and keeping a lid on third party news getting out.

Everything Israel supporters spout is bunkum and they know it.

Israel wanted to murder the volunteers to prevent more from coming and to stop the supply of food so that they can finish their ethnic cleansing.

He most certainly did not explain in plain English "what purpose the aid workers were targeted" It is still quite early and we don't yet know all the facts. You don't know what transpired and it is likely you don't fully understand the technical aspects of the attack.

Or perhaps it's that you doesnt understand why IDF blew up the aid trucks.

We all here in the council of the holy land know why IDF did it but you apparently don't.

As a teacher it's not my duty to command or tell you but to guide you on the path of enlightenment so you may come to the realisation in your own time and take refuge in that achievement for the foreseeable future and so blossom

With respect to religious guidance on killing disbelievers, what's good for the goose should be good for the gander. Will the following ever be renounced?

"Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”

No clue what you are referring to regarding "council of the holy land". I'm guessing it is a council which condoned 10/7.

What weapons did the Israeli's target with. Claims the convoy was marked are misleading. Indications it was "blown up" appear exaggerated.

There is no war going on. There is only a genocide.
About 40% of those killed by Israel in Gaza are children. About 3% of those killed during the Al-Aqsa Flood were children. A number of those children were killed by Israel using their Hannibal doctrine. Your belief is a fantasy.
There has never been a dovish Israeli government. That's just silly. There are 2 things Hamas did not anticipate.

    1. The sheer and complete incompetence of the Israeli Occupation Forces. Hamas did not realize how much the IOF relied on U.S. technology and weapons. Hamas actually thought most of them would die trying to break out. They did not expect the Israeli forces to crumble so quickly.

    2. They underestimated how willing the IOF was to kill their own people.

There is no war - only Israel committing genocide.
The IOF doesn't want anyone to know just how many Israeli civilians they killed during their Hannibal directive.

Personally, I and other sane people who are not bloodthirsty wanted a full investigation, charges brought against those involved, arrests and then lengthy prison sentences. This is what most civilized people wanted. Israel just wanted to blow up some buildings and murder hundreds of babies as revenge. I think this is due to Moloch being the primary deity of worship in Israel.
    I think it's 1163 now.

Israeli news goes through quite a few of their life stories. 376 were members of the IOF. Most of the rest were likely armed, killed by the IOF during Hannibal, or killed in the crossfire. We will likely never know exactly what happened to most because Israel didn't want an investigation and has gone out of its way to destroy evidence.
You propose even more Hasbara. Surprise, Surprise.

Interesting. Clearly this wasn't intentional. For whatever reason they were mistakenly targeted. We will see when we learn more in time.

I was in the process of sending $500 million worth of drone and drone munitions to Ukraine. I've decided to move half of that to Israel to arrive shortly. I will follow that with between $500 million and $1B more. Not sure of the distributions yet. I will be interested to learn what actually transpired.
