It is simply the current medical term but there has always been acceptance among indigenous cultures for a “third gender”. Correct social term is LGBTQIA

More made up leftist nonsense, and the nonsense doesn't even have anything to do with what we're talking about.

Mentally ill people that can't accept genetic reality have nothing to do with the discussion.

None of your examples are a third gender.

They are one of the two genders pretending to be the opposite one.

No these are traditional terms and have always been the case - date back Millenia

I haven’t said “third gender” - that is the traditional terms I have said “spectrum” which is what is medically acknowledged now

    Ohhhh so what happens there?

Does the penis shrink and then start inverting to become a vagina on this spectrum?

Oh I'm not debating the fact that you can't give your imaginary sex a name.

Men in black said it best

Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow.

And then they regressed 15 million years and couldn't figure out the difference between male and female.

Doesn't surprise me you get your knowledge from movies though.

What does sexual orientation have to do with the male/female binary and intersex abnormalities.

You should be asking yourself why so many indigenous cultures have traditions dating back Millenia that include. Third or even fourth sex

Because we are still trying to determine how much sexual orientation and identity is hard wired into the brain. There is evidence that the brains of trans people show a brain activity consistent with thier identified sex

Which has nothing to do with the topic, which has to do with male and female sex organs....and is it genitalia or chromosomes that make you male or female.

Trick question of course, since your chromosomes determine your genitalia.

Do try and stay on topic.

I'll give you a pass on this one though.

I thought you said gender was a social construct.

If gender is a social construct, how does one identify gender identity by doing a brain scan.

If you say a brain scan can identify gender, then gender is not a social construct.

You should think more before you type.

Lols! On what do you base that? The link I provided showed most of the terms dated to pre colonisation and some dated back to the 12th century

I can provide more links and research
