    Rebut the comment I posted.

    You can't.

You have no argument. Just cop outs.

I find your argument to be unfounded and your sources suspect. You're dismissed.

Certainly it's the FL case that holds the greatest legal jeopardy for Trump.

I find that you have no argument and your original post to be laden with unfounded assumptions.

As such, until you remedy your post, anyone responding may require you to correct your post.

    Or you can be dismissed.

Judge Cannon just pulled down Jack Smith's pants and spanked him in a new order. She's been doing a pretty good job embarrassing him and showing he doesn't know what he's doing.

But unlike the judges in DC and NY, she still gave a balanced ruling despite showing how stupid he is.

Cliff Notes: Trump filed a motion to disclose the evidence against him publicly. Jack Smith wanted to keep it all private. Cannon gave them both a chance to argue their case. Jack Smith declined. Cannon made a ruling based on the fact that Smith declined to make a legal argument defending his position. Then Jack Smith filed a motion to reconsider and finally laid out his case. Cannon responded by slapping his fanny in legalese and also kept reminding him that she has told him four times about local rules of filings which he continues to be incapable of following. Basic things like if he's going to request certain info become private he must include a duration he wants it kept private in order to make his request. In his efforts to embarrass her he keeps embarrassing himself more to anyone who actually reads the filings in their entirety. She has to keep informing him of the rules, identifying the rule, citing the rule, and then ask him to comply with the rules of the district court. These are extremely basic concepts that he consistently gets wrong. The other judges would just rule against Trump if his attorneys were so lazy and inept. Cannon has been extremely generous with Jack, but he continues to get frustrated because he doesn't know what he's doing and can't figure out basic legal procedures.

    @CornPop

    Really ?

"The judge overseeing former President Donald Trump’s classified documents case may have done just enough to avoid being removed from the case.

That’s the assessment of legal observers after U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon, a Trump appointee, reversed herself Tuesday, agreeing that special counsel Jack Smith had been correct and that there is indeed no public right to know, at this stage, the identities of people who might testify against the former president.

“[T]he bottom line is this,” Cannon wrote in a 24-page order: the “most faithful” reading of the law and precedent suggests “this case is not subject to a public right of access” because it is still in the discovery phase. In other words, Trump won’t be armed with the names of potentially two dozen government witnesses, meaning he’ll have to find other grist for Truth Social. "

Let me guess you got this from a highly partisan leftist blog website and didn't actually read the order yourself. Let me know how far off the mark I am.

It's an equivalent response to your "Cliff Notes". It's also accurate. The opinion stated in the first sentence is just as valid as your opinions on Smith.
You are not known for your moderate or centrist posts. In fact, your rabid defense of the Orange Stain might lead an impartial reader to identify you as a far right extremist.

Orange face bronzer for sure, but hair spray? lol

'Trump's valet 'thought ex-president was hoarding hairspray' in boxes that contained secret papers'
    Source: UK Independent

"Donald Trump’s valet said he mistook boxes containing secret documents at his Mar-a-Lago estate for boxes of hairspray, according to a transcript of an FBI interview.

According to the May 2022 interview transcript, the former president’s valet Walt Nauta repeatedly insisted that he thought the boxes of classified documents on Mr Trump’s property contained news clippings, hairspray, shampoo, picture frames and other miscellaneous materials.

The documents are now at the centre of one of four criminal cases against Mr Trump, while Mr Nauta has been charged with conspiring to conceal documents as well as lying to the FBI in his interview about the location and movement of boxes of documents at Mar-a-Lago. He has pleaded not guilty.

The transcript shows that during the interview, Mr Nauta was asked by investigators whether he was aware of Mr Trump showing a document with classified markings to people while on a plane. No such event was alleged in the indictment against Mr Trump'.

The charges against Trump just never stop and are getting more and more frivolous.

Trump Indicted For Taking More Chick-fil-A Sauces Than He Actually Needed For His Order https://buff.ly/3Q0JX4Z

'ATLANTA, GA — What began as a seemingly harmless visit to a local Chick-fil-A turned into a new legal quagmire for former President Donald Trump, as he was indicted today for taking more sauces than he actually needed for his order.'

    GA is Trump Country

'The news broke as Trump made headlines for his positive reception at the popular eatery, with customers and employees fawning over him as he ordered his food. A spokesperson for the Department of Justice held a press briefing to announce the indictment.'

"We've got him this time," the spokesperson said. "What we saw at Chick-fil-A yesterday was yet another example of Donald Trump flouting authority, the rule of law, and democracy itself by taking an exorbitant number of sauce packets with his order. As part of society, there are certain rules regarding courtesy and human decency. Taking handful after handful of Chick-fil-A sauce is something we cannot allow. He's gone too far this time."

'When asked about the latest indictment, Trump was as defiant as usual. "MORE PHONY CHARGES!" he said in a post to his Truth Social account. "SLEEPY JOE BIDEN AND HIS CORRUPT JUSTICE DEPARTMENT ARE NOW CHARGING ME WITH TAKING TOO MANY CHICK-FIL-A SAUCES. I TOOK THE CORRECT AMOUNT. THE PERFECT AMOUNT, SOME WOULD SAY. THE DEMOCRATS DON'T WANT ME TO HAVE ENOUGH SAUCE OR AMERICA TO BE GREAT AGAIN! WITCH HUNT!"'

'DOJ also reported that the government is looking into allegations that Trump double-dipped his chicken strip in a sauce cup.'

Dems are racing to push these cases forward and Republicans want to delay them, both because of the fact that once Trump is President again nobody believes the matter will continue as if he was not?

That just absolutely screams out that the system is corrupt. The President should not be above the law.

Interesting... from a person setting in the court room...

Wow.... Smith is trying to withhold evidence from the Judge over the case..
""Cannon pushed Jay Bratt, Smith's lead prosecutor, to explain why records from a closed grand jury matter must remain sealed. Apparently one matter involves Judge Beryl Howell's order that pierced attorney-client privilege between Trump and his lawyer. Defense attorney Stanley Woodward said he has asked DC court to docket his requests for certain GJ materials. They have "declined," he told Cannon.""

Wow... they don't have proof Walt actually moved boxes with classified material, but the Smith team arrogantly says they do not need to prove he did...the DOJ making "assumptions" that any boxes Nauta moved contained sought-after evidence...
""Jay Bratt basically admitted they do not have proof that Walt Nauta, charged with conspiring with Trump to conceal classified files from Trump's lawyer then the FBI to impede grand jury investigation, moved boxes that actually contained papers with classified markings.""

The statement is false. Jack Smith wasn't "correct" before because he didn't lay out his case. She was forced to make her initial ruling based almost entirely on Trump's request. The default for cases in the district court is that everything is public. If Jack Smith wants to keep certain things private he has to follow the rules and make said request with evidence. He didn't initially do that. So she was forced to rule against him. If only he could follow court rules he may have had a different outcome the first time around. But he proved incapable of following the same rule for the fourth time when making this request.

And after all your spinning and bias,

"That’s the assessment of legal observers after U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon, a Trump appointee, reversed herself Tuesday, agreeing that special counsel Jack Smith had been correct and that there is indeed no public right to know, at this stage, the identities of people who might testify against the former president"

So, in the end, Jack was right and got what he requested.

BLACKMAN AND TILLMAN GET RESULTS: Special Counsel Jack Smith Responds to Blackman-Tillman: No matter how you slice it, Smith cannot exercise the powers he purports to exercise.

    SCOTUS brief argued:

'Special Counsel Jack Smith is not an "Officer of the United States." At most, his temporary position is characterized as a mere "employee." As a result, this mere "employee" cannot exercise the broad prosecutorial powers of a United States attorney.'

Lying Jack and others incorrectly counter-argued that this claim was in conflict with a brief filed Former Attorney General Edwin Meese

Lying Jack is incorrect. 'The Blackman-Tillman and Meese briefs are in substantial agreement with one another.'

'The Meese brief argues that for the Special Counsel to exercise the powers he is exercising, the Special Counsel must be a principal officer. However, the Special Counsel is in actuality something else. The Meese brief argues that the Special Counsel is merely an inferior officer. And, the Meese brief contends, that inferior officer cannot hold the powers granted to the Special Counsel.'
