    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/apr/13/e-jean-carroll-surrenders-gun-police

    Basic facts of the situation:
    1. E Jean Carroll admitted under oath that she has "always had a gun" and that she "still does not have a license" despite having a revolver and ammunition next to her bed.
    2. E Jean Carroll has never been licensed to own a firearm.
    3. Police went to he home and seized her firearm. She did not turn it in on own.
    4. This is a felony with a MANDATORY MINIMUM sentence of 3.5 years. This statute is not discretionary.
    5. New York has declined to prosecute this crime.

E Jean Carroll is caught committing a felony with incontrovertible evidence and they are refusing to charge her like they would any other common criminal. It begs the question as to why she is seemingly getting away with a felony. She admitted she has not possessed this firearm due to the Trump case. She has been committing this felony long before she came forward with her allegation against Trump that a jury did not fully believe. New York typically strictly enforces their firearm laws. It appears that being a leftist hero in NY means you are above the law. This is a woman who comes off pretty clearly as having a mental illness... she paints and names trees, calls her cat Vagina, etc. Illegally possessing this firearm is dangerous.

She burned Trump. That gives her immunity, as far as the Democrats are concerned.

Yes.... that is exactly what I would think as well.

The laws in New York State are not being administered in a fair and just manner at all.

She has not stopped Trump though..... only slowed him down a little.

Lols! I love how the right is about to make the caught car thing with abortion look like a drop in the ocean with these “we have to enforce gun laws” issues

you need a license to have "a revolver and ammunition next to her bed."

since when do you need a license to do that?

So you are fine with all those people out there with unlicensed guns getting visits from police and having to surrender those guns???

Evidently that's what the citizens of New York want because it's what they voted for.

The law must be applied evenly; otherwise, you support selective prosecution. Which we know people do against conservatives, but it's not a good look. This is the second thread in which the same people in here are advocating for selective prosecution. But at least the consistency is there. Nobody should be above the law, including people who sue individuals you dislike. She has the right to follow the law like everyone else and to be prosecuted the same as people who aren't on liberal news shows bragging about suing someone a Republican candidate for office.

So you're fine with criminals owning guns? When did you come to this realization? Was it when you learned the criminal was someone who sued Donald Trump?

We don't "know" that people "do against conservatives". What "selective prosecution" is being advocated ?
    Please explain better.

No. Now, is Carroll above the law? She admitted to communicating a felony. Should she get a free pass?

Not when you live in a fascist State and you keep voting for idiots that pass laws you're supposed to follow.

She's got her second amendment rights, she just has to beg her overlords for permission and hope that they Grant it to her

    You shirk the laws too?

Great way to completely ignore my point. When you vote for morons you get moronic laws and you get your rights revoked.

I don't care if E. Jean Carroll is arrested for a gun crime. Why would anyone? What is the angle that MAGA is driving at here? Does this change what Trump did?
