The right to due process is in the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights are the rights of the people, not the government.
And, as far as "little understanding the Constitution"? Trump has somewhat that same problem... Except that Trump has NO UNDERSTANDING of The Constitution.
That's right. And as long as the state doesn't miss a deadline, that is due process. For example, if a response or a filing is due in 30 days and it is made in 29, then it is timely.
I guess I'll be the second person to laugh at that question: Amendment V No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation. Class dismissed....
The highly intelligent Steven Colbert gives instructions on how to someday tell your grandchildren about Trump's trial and more. Gettysburg again..lol @1:10 https://www.youtube.com/@ColbertLateShow
Excellent ! So once Orange ( as per your expectations) is convicted, I hope the state, within the law, stretches out the appeals process to the maximum permitted by due process and the court calendar.
Lachlan Cartwright talks about Trump/National Enquirer 2016 election plot. Plus National Enquirer's propaganda against Trump's 2016 opponents. He's breaking his NDA speaking his story. Oh, no. I just believe that what is good for the Orange Stain is good for the People as well. I believe in the law and due process. Righties believe they are above the law because what they think is popular with other righties. They have no respect for due process because they continually call for punishment before people are convicted of anything. They also believe their buddies should be given passes for violent political acts just because they say so. You, for example, don't believe in due process because you refer to the NYS court as a "kangaroo" court. You don't believe the Orange stain should even be tried. You also have defended the 1/6 violence as nothing special as opposed to a violent attack on the seat of our government over one of our most sacred institutions: the election for President. Your attitude is the reason people need to understand just how dangerous Rightists really are.
At least Day 1 provided some comic relief at the trial (thanks to Trump's "Bombshell" staffer). And, a chance to laugh (again) at a previous time that Faux News (As USUAL) was getting caught red-handed reporting FAKE Bullshit... At the Miami court case, Fox referred to Margo Martin as Melania Trump... At the time, Fox News anchor John Roberts showed a clip of her walking into the government building on air, telling viewers before hand, 'We have some video that we want to play out here, Melania Trump entering the courthouse just a short time ago.' A chyron at the bottom of the video said 'Melania Trump arrives at Miami court.' Her name is Margo Martin... BUT, According to Faux News...Melania Trump... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/...trump-communications-chief-melania-court.html
'Trump Fell Asleep Again at Day Two of Hush Money Trial' 'CNN contributor Norm Eisen tweeted on Tuesday: “Trump is asleep again” at nearly 11:00 AM. And his account was corroborated by others on site. During an on air hit in the 10 a.m. hour, MSNBC’s Yasmin Vossoughian passed along contributor Lisa Rubin’s observation of Trump as having his eyes closed and “leaning to the left.” Law360’s Frank G. Runyeon had a detailed play-by-play of Trump allegedly dozing off. On Twitter/X, he wrote: “Trump’s head slowly dropped, his eyes closed. It jerked back upward. He adjusts himself. Then, his head droops again. He straightens up, leaning back. His head [droops] for a third time, he shakes his shoulders. Eyes closed still. His head drops. Finally, he pops his eyes open.” https://www.mediaite.com/trump/trump-fell-asleep-again-at-day-two-of-hush-money-trial/
Hahaha, day 2 and Dozo The Clown is at it again....and the far RW wants to label Biden as out of it, hahahaha!
You're confusing the rights of the people with the powers of the government...lol There's no GD way any of you can honestly say you support our justice system and go along with these kangaroo courts, at the same time.
The word used by the other poster and I in my response was "misconduct", not illegality. I know quiet a bit about both this case and this thread that seems to escape you.
There's no GD way any of you can honestly say you support our justice system and call these kangaroo courts, at the same time. The Orange Stain will have his day in court and the decision (and appeal , if necessary) must be respected. If the Orange Stain is a felon(something you righties don't even allow is a possibility) and gets away with it, the rights of the people are diminished.
I thought it was commendable how many potential jurors just admitted they were biased, they should be praised for their honesty.
Certainly not to a rightie and Orange Stain defender like you who has pre-judged any case against your Precious.
