Fox News host Jesse Watters on Tuesday broadcast extensive biographical details about Juror No. 2 -- her neighborhood, occupation, education, marital and family status, and what industry her fiance works in. He concluded by saying, "I'm not so sure about Juror No. 2." He claimed last night that "undercover liberal activists" are trying to get on the jury -- comments Trump promoted. That juror has now asked to be excused, saying people had asked her if she was a juror.
On a separate note, they just removed another Juror that got caught lying (He magically forgot he did some anti-GOP vandalizing of property not that many years ago). The dirt is already SO EXPOSED that Trump already has enough for an appeal after the witch trial Onto your point in the OP, I didn't see that episode but if they put this woman in danger then she could end up very, very RICH!
When I read that Juror #2 stepped away, I thought to myself: What's the likelihood that RW media and Fox News are behind this? Of course, I was right on.
I hope that's true! Its about time FOX starts doing the same dirty work of being henchmen to carry out political orders just like MSNBC and CNN have been doing since 2010 GOOD FOR THEM I warned you people that the right would most likely stoop to the same, low levels of the left. This is the kind of media the LEFT WANTS, well, they are GETTING IT
We started the day with seven confirmed jurors. This morning, that number went down to six after the judge dismissed one juror who had concerns about her identity becoming public. https://www.politico.com/live-updat...nal-trial/another-juror-is-dismissed-00153067 Wrong doesn't begin to convey Faux's complicity in the perversion of the jury selection process. Non-interference in said process being a bedrock of the justice system. The reason anyone would be concerned about their identity becoming public with Trump's mob lurking in the shadows, ready to make death threats against jury members and their families, is obvious. This is a terrible, anti-democratic development.
Watters is smart but a far cry from likeable. I'm sure there are all kinds of people wanting to get on the jury. Political prosecutions have become very popular.
Corruption of the judicial system was a feature of Trump's presidency. http://www.politicalforum.com/index...eds-or-why-cohen-and-not-individual-1.618125/ Now he's done it even while out of office.
I would if I knew him. I don't even know who he is. Trump had nothing to do with the political nature of the prosecutions. Prosecutors wanting to hurt his political life had everything to do with them.
I saw that segment on Watters World and didn't like it. I don't need to know anything about the juriors. But the info will leak out. I fully understand the reason for voir dire but the info should remain local.
The fact that the jurors are so biased plays for Trump. His supporters already think and the reality is there right that this is just an attempt to interfere with his campaign. It will result in more resolute support for Trump not less.
I agree, that process should be protected. Freedom and rights cannot stand without the Rule of Law and the sanctity of the the jury in this system must be respected and honored. Jury intimidation or tampering cannot be tolerated by anyone or any entity. Everyone needs to stop opining and speculating re any jury especially those that have a bully pulpit. It's just wrong and undermines the justice system. I'd hate to know, and I don't, that certain RW or LW media are working or coordinating to tank any civil or criminal trial. That's just wrong and should not be tolerated by the right nor the left.
Two-tier justice system, right? Who else gets jurors removed because their friendly news-media discredits the jurors and makes them fear for their lives? How do you know the jurors are "so" biased? Does Fox News tell you that? It's interesting that you assume jurors are biased when nobody even knows their names (at least until they get leaked by RW media running defense for Trump).
not laughing at the judge for entertaining the prosecution of a non crime. It's New York. You can play dumb all you want. There shouldn't be a trial in the first place because what happened was not a crime. So there's a biased judge in a biased prosecutor show me how they're going to pick people that aren't biased.
Seated jury down to 6 after juror says aspects of her identity were made public. Here's what happened in court A juror sworn onto Donald Trump's jury panel Tuesday was dismissed Thursday morning after expressing concerns that part of her identity were made public by the media. There are now six jurors empaneled. Juror No. 2 told Judge Juan Merchan: "Aspects of my identity have already been out there in the public, yesterday alone I had friends colleagues and family push things to my phone questioning my identity as a juror," she said. The juror’s concerns reflected the historic nature of the case and the intense pressure in a polarized political climate that will be on the panel of people who are called to do their civic duty to be fair and impartial. Merchan then addressed the press in court, telling them "there's a reason this is an anonymous jury." https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-n...l-04-18-24/h_5d5f1fa925f2b816c3ca1b74a1556a26 The indelible stain of Trumpery has struck again.
its so obvious, they are handpicking as many trump haters as possible and keeping whichever ones slip through the cracks I thought they could hide their filth a little better than this!
Probably one of the dozens of reporters in the courtroom. This is public information and was likely discussed during the voir dire. Even if there are no cameras, there are reporters and people live blogging the Trump cases. Courts are generally open to the public and for good reason. Edit: I Googled and found this:
