So a local yokel DA can just declare someone guilty of a crime with a trial or due process for that crime? One that is NOT even within their jurisdiction to prosecute?

Isn't it a basic fundamental principle of our system of justice that if the government is going to charge you with a crime and sanction you for a crime that you be told what is that crime so you can defend yourself?

No. He’s alleging that Trump cooked the books to hide other crimes. You can figure it out yourself by reading the pleadings. And you can get a good overview of the case by reading the order from the federal court rejecting Trump’s lame attempt to remove the case to federal court. You have some reading to do.
