Former Warsaw Pact countries that joined NATO created democratic governments. The people in these countries voted to join NATO. We did not force them.
"the people" did no such thing. Their corrupt leaders made the decisions....violations of the NATO-Russia Founding Act as well. It's quite easy to bribe a few sleezeballs. ukie land is learning the hard way what happens when the CIA/US state department aids in the removal of duly elected Presidents....all so that "we won't force them" to join NATO. It's called FAFO and they are currently in FO mode.
D to the rescue!....a little night time flame baiting. Shouldn't you be in bed by now old timer? Maybe you're in mountain time or in commiefornia time.
It's around 6 :40 AM Moscow time right about now?...."Bill"....is it shift change? So looks like "package" passed in the Senate ...Bigly...."Bill".....the C17s are backed up and getting loaded at the warehouses in Poland and Germany....by the weekend the goodies will be delivered.....ouch! I'm watching YT for Solovyov to have a meltdown......ohh...what's that I hear?....are they cranking over a T34?..... Mike Johnson and MTG should lay low.....Pootler very upset that the "return on investment" hasn't turned out!.....thoughts?
C-17s are one sweet plane. One of the few jets in the world that can move backward on the ground under its own power!
So if Cuba, Venezuela, Nicarague allied with Russia and had nukes like Poland is doing you wouldn't mind? Ever hear of the Cuban missile crisis.
The U.S. has designated the nations you mentioned as to be part of our "security zone" IIRC In regards to further up thread, Poland doesn't have nuclear weapons
Pretty sure we're in the same time zone if you are where you claim to be, and I'm probably younger (and more handsome) than you too.
News reports from a few years ago said they only made $700 to $900 per month. Russians are poor as hell so that is considered a great monthly wage there.
As long as the Russian government looks for unnecessary tars to fight, the Russian people will remain poor, while the oligarchs remain rich.
Wow, so Russians can get paid 900 bucks a month pointing out the ignorance of the masses in America? And here I am doing all this for free.
....ah.....still arguing this crap about NATO expansion" being the reason for Puitin's messianic mission....love it......
Hey Neville Chamberlain- your profile picture of Confederate flag shows you have a poor record of picking the winners in war.
Hey Ed, quit making a fool of yourself and go learn what Robert E Lee's battle flag looks like. My profile pic ain't it.
To get back a bit to the topic, Ukraine gaining NATO weapons or any other weapons is unlikely to be a threat to the US. It could be a threat to Russia, but I can't see why the US would care, except there is money to be made selling those weapons. Not that Ukraine is likely to pay, but the US public is very keen to pay any amount of money to supply weapons to Ukraine, because of what Joe Biden and the media have said. Somehow I think the US weapons makers are calling the shots.
