Former Warsaw Pact countries that joined NATO created democratic governments. The people in these countries voted to join NATO. We did not force them.

"the people" did no such thing. Their corrupt leaders made the decisions....violations of the NATO-Russia Founding Act as well. It's quite easy to bribe a few sleezeballs.

ukie land is learning the hard way what happens when the CIA/US state department aids in the removal of duly elected Presidents....all so that "we won't force them" to join NATO. It's called FAFO and they are currently in FO mode.

News reports from a few years ago said they only made $700 to $900 per month. Russians are poor as hell so that is considered a great monthly wage there.

To get back a bit to the topic,

Ukraine gaining NATO weapons or any other weapons
is unlikely to be a threat to the US.

It could be a threat to Russia, but I can't see why the
US would care, except there is money to be made selling those
weapons. Not that Ukraine is likely to pay, but the US
public is very keen to pay any amount of money to
supply weapons to Ukraine, because of what
Joe Biden and the media have said.


Somehow I think the US weapons makers are calling
the shots.
