Could this be one of the reasons Jack Smith fought so hard to not unseal the unredacted evidence against Trump? The government had pallets of documents in its possession and they told Trump to come and get it. Like with the left's argument about Hunter's laptop, the chain of custody was broken and anyone could have slipped classified documents into those pallets of boxes, especially someone who wanted to interfere with an election.

Here is the actual court documents showing how Jack Smith had evidence sealed.... and then the unredacted emails and communications showing the WH collusion with having the Biden administration attack his political opponent using the US government to have Mar-a-lago raided... Jack Smith covered up exculpatory evidence, nothing new for this corrupt bunch..

Planting evidence is a crime. I bet it's even a crime in Australia. Yes?

According to witness testimony, that's exactly what happened.

That testimony is enough to get the case tossed, with prejudice. Not only that, Smith's team will lose all credibility in the D.C. case. Not to mention, Smith will need to be investigated and charged with falsifying evidence.

Smith isn't above the law. Is he?

Just posting in this thread so that I can drag it back out months from now after Mango loses the election, again, and all his trials continue.

I thought it was mighty strange that the FBI and NARA knew exactly what was in Trump's house, before they did the search.

They didn't know what Biden had. They didn't know what pence had. Why would they know exactly how many documents Trump had?

Not to mention, the documents were supposedly classified. Neither the FBI, nor NARA have a list of all the classified documents that the government has. So, it makes no sense that either agency knew exactly how many documents were there.

The "arguments" get more pathetic, more desperate, and less intellectually honest by the hour. But at least it is funny seeing Trump and his supporters swear with fear.

Dude, Trump gave a PUBLIC interview in which he went back and forth on whether he still had one of the official documents in question, giving conflicting accounts DURING the interview. We also have him on audio admitting that he still had a classified document.

So demand that the trial start so he can clear his name!!!! Should he,Heaven forbid, get reelected he will undoubtedly shut down all federal trials. This may result in his staying out out prison except for that pesky Georgia case. What it will also do is leave serious doubt to his innocence, forever, and serious convictions of his guilt, also forever.

They didn't know exactly which documents, except for the North Korea letter. They just knew he still had some official documents and had witnesses who had seen the attempts to hide the documents.

“The left” whoever they are - have always considered Twitter to be a questionable source and you have no proof otherwise in fact it is hard to remember the last time a left leaning member here referenced either Twitter tik tok or instagram - funny memes and videos not withstanding

Were they just unrecorded notes or “classified” documents but not top secret documents?

Yeah since we just fell apart because they can't charge him with anything. You can charge him with something every other president in history is guilty.

It doesn't matter if it's classified top secret or super duper extra special secret it's classified that way strictly under the authority of the executive so he has free reign to view all of it because he's the one that classifies it.

The only way you can prove a crime is to prove Donald Trump wasn't the executive when he came into possession of those documents.

I decided to ask AI what happened to Trump trial, and those answers I got:
Question: Trump was accused of holding top secret government documents. What happened with this trial?

Mistral AI: As of now, there has been no trial because the situation is still developing. Here's what we know so far:

In August 2022, the FBI executed a search warrant at former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. They were looking for classified documents that Trump may have taken from the White House when he left office. The FBI reportedly recovered multiple sets of classified documents, including some marked as top secret.

Trump has denied any wrongdoing and claimed that the documents were declassified. However, the National Archives and the Justice Department have said that they have no evidence that the documents were declassified.

The Justice Department is currently investigating whether Trump violated any laws, including the Espionage Act, by taking and keeping the documents. It's possible that Trump could face criminal charges, but no charges have been filed yet.

The situation is complicated by the fact that Trump is a former president and has claimed executive privilege over the documents. It's also possible that the case could become politicized, which could affect the outcome.

We will have to wait and see how the investigation unfolds and whether any charges are filed.

Gemini AI: I'm still learning how to answer this question. In the meantime, try Google Search.

Claude AI: The trial regarding former President Trump's alleged mishandling of classified documents has not yet occurred as of April 2024. Here's a summary of what is publicly known based on reports before my knowledge cutoff in August 2023:

In August 2022, the FBI executed a search warrant at Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida and seized several boxes containing classified government records that Trump had taken with him after leaving office in January 2021.

In June 2023, a federal grand jury indicted Trump on charges related to willfully retaining national defense information, obstructing justice, and making false statements. This set the stage for a criminal trial.

As of August 2023, the case was still in the pre-trial phase with legal battles over access to evidence, selection of the trial venue, and other preliminary matters. No trial date had been firmly set at that point.

However, given the unprecedented nature of criminally prosecuting a former U.S. president, the trial was expected to be one of the highest-profile cases in American legal history whenever it commences. I don't have any definitive information on if or when the trial may have occurred after August 2023 based on my current knowledge cutoff.

Of course the left doesn't mention it much anymore, they are pissed off that they lost a monopoly on social media and they took their ball and went home.
