I would say I'm surprised to learn that your standard of ethics is what was done under the Trump administration, but under the circumstances it's expected.

Just because it happened under the Trump administration doesn't mean Biden's administration isn't also doing it. And just because they're often unaccompanied minors doesn't mean they don't exist. It's still a true statement and you got duped by PolitiFact's meter.

By the way, it's hilarious that you quoted statements that prove your meter incorrect as if it somehow changed the factual basis of the original statement. The statement is 100% true. PolitiFact just labeled it "mostly false" because they're extremely partisan.

Agreed. Since the Politifact article is not paywall protected why don't you read the whole thing instead of embarrassing yourself further.

Apparently you missed the story of a planeful of immigrants from, well, I'm not sure where, probably but not certainly Texas, being dropped off at a general aviation airport outside of Jacksonville, FL at about 0300 one morning, under Fed escort, from which one of the illegals proceeded to murder a citizen of Florida a few days or weeks later. Though I suppose I must add 'allegedly' to that.

I read it, you quoted it. Illegal immigrants are going on secret flights, often in the middle of the night filled with unaccompanied minors. The only reason it's "mostly false" is that Trump's administration did similar things and some of the flights aren't secret. LOL. Nice try. Perhaps you should have read it before attempting to use it to rebut a factual statement.

... Before 'I' embarrassment MYSELF further!!!! LOL.

You're still trying to claim a factual statement is false and you keep quoting articles telling you it's true. And you fail to recognize that because... but but but TRUMP!!!

Not all of us are tribal partisans who will criticize if one tribe does it, but look away, or worse, try to find some excuse for it if done by the other tribe. I am one who does not. While I never heard about it during Trumps Presidency, if it in fact happened, then he was as wrong as Biden, whether he ordered it, was aware of it, permitted it, or was ignorant of it despite it happening on his watch. The only time immigrants should be put on an airplane is when they are deported, and even then it should only happen if it's at some distant location that requires a boat or plane to get there, and even then if the plane is cheaper than the boat. For those bound for S. America, all we need to do is take them maybe 50 miles into Mexico with a pair of shoes, a few bottles of water, maybe $10, and an admonishment to never try that bullshit again. Now that I think about it, we can do the same for those from other bodies of land as well, as if they managed to get from there to here without our help, they can figure out how to go back.

    Update on the E-Verify Apocalypse.

New Florida Immigration Rules Start to Strain Some Businesses

"...Tim Conlan, president of Reliant, a roofing company in Jacksonville, said a subcontractor had recently turned down a project after his workers refused to travel to Florida, preferring to stay in Georgia and the Carolinas. He also said that hourly rates for jobs had increased about 10 percent since the bill was signed into law in May."

    This is the way.

    Good!

If the INS actually were doing their job, they would investigate those workers who refused to come work in Florida, because, especially in light of the wage increases, the only valid reason to turn down a gig like that is that they are... Illegal!!! Sounds like probable cause to me, or at the very least, enough RAS to open in investigation into those folks. They won't, of course, but they should!

I live in Florida, and got my roof redone last year, and I made the company provide me with documentation that their employees are legal, which they were happy and prepared to do. But, that is the exception to the general rule, which is that most of those gigs are worked by illegals, and that needs to come to an end. Incidentally, not only did they have a full staff of legal workers, they were also the lowest bid by 30%, and did a fantastic job!

Well your experience is likely to become the norm as illegals scram, wages go up to attract workers, and legal workers end up with higher paying jobs.

    Follow up to this story.

A year later, Florida businesses say the state's immigration law dealt a huge blow

It's an NPR story, so of course it regards the use of people who are actually legal to work agriculture as a disaster but I noticed this...

"The H-2A system is absolutely broken," says Gary Wishnatzki, head of Wish Farms, also in Plant City.

This is one of the largest strawberry growers in the nation. His field harvesters in Florida are on H-2A visas.

"It's the only means of getting workers at the farm right now", says Wishnatzki. "But it's totally outdated."

Even for a company as large as it is, the cost has become crushing, he says.

It has to pay a recruitment company, visa fees, housing workers, pay for meals, and transportation.

Yes...what a tragedy to do what the law requires...

So, you are for open borders then. Took you long enough to finally admit it.

I thought you righties and Florida residents didn't like inflation. Now you can blame it on DeSantis and the Republicans.
