its not "whataboutism" and you know it.

We spend billions and billions every year on corporate bailouts, corporate welfare, yet the instant we try to help the individual, the right looses their minds.

We spend almost a trillion dollars a year on defense spending, yet when we actually use some of the bombs weve built over the last 20 years, you righties loose your minds. Then we try to use american tax dollars ina america to help a few AMERICAN students, and you loose your ever-lovin minds.

So is it the what or the who you dont like ?

The left loves big government, so I don't see why any of this stuff would bother you?

You know what helps the 'individual'? Cutting taxes paid to the government.

How can you compare keeping more of your earnings to having tax payers pay off your student loans?

I am against free **** for corporations, other countries, lazy ass college students, and other leaches sucking on the taxpayer teat and demanding free sh**t. If you want to call that view of things being RIGHT fine. But don't claim I have something in common with Republicans who spend money like drunken sailors. And BTW, you just can't get away from whataboutism and strawman fallacies can you? Without your logical fallacy ranting about free stuff for corporations please explain to me why I as a taxpayer should pay for your college tuition. Pay for you own [expletive] college. And do yourself a favor and read Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations. Then you might understand how government subsidies for college actually increase tuition. You know, that supply and demand thing.

Are you under the impression that there are no loans that originated before 2010?

    Education benefits everyone.

The better educated a nation is, the more prosperous it becomes.

And making education more accessible should be a priority, because the financial burden on graduating students is far too great.

    What's the connection?

There's no place in the West where education costs more than in the US.

In terms of higher education, the US isn't even in the top 10.

    It's a disgrace.

    1. Why is it so many people with so called higher education can't change a tire or hang a sheet of drywall?

    2. Why can't higher education succeed or fail based on a free market? The Government paying tuition just jacks up the cost of education.

    3. I worked in a [expletive] factory on 3rd shift and went to school in the day time. Slept in the evenings. Yes, this did not allow time to attend liberal political rallies and the like. My oldest son paid for his college by serving in the military. Is that option somehow not available to liberals?

    4. Why should I give a [expletive] about someone's personal problem. Liberals need to solve their own problems and stop asking the rest of us to provide you people with free stuff.

Are you this worried about our debt when Republicans spend even more?

Do you have any statistics on this?

Because I've got a master's degree in management and I can change a tire without too much difficulty.

But I must be in the minority.

    I'm going to repeat myself.

The US is not in the top 10 countries with the highest education rate.

Russians are better educated than Americans.

Which shows that the current system is failing.

The better educated a society is, the more productive it is, the more wealth it creates and the more technologically advanced it is.

Education is an asset that goes far beyond the individual.

    1. Same reason many who can hang drywall can’t format an excel sheet or use proper grammar. It’s not their thing.
    2. They don’t pay tuition
    3. Cool. Does that mean everyone should have to?
    4. Us libs pay taxes too…and many of us think higher Ed should be encouraged

How come you libs want someone else to pay for things you want? Education, housing, abortion, health insurance, cell phones, etc, etc, etc. I thought libs were supposed to be so well educated? Yet someone else has to pay your way in life.

Everything the government wastes money on (which is almost everything) should be cut. And that includes defense spending, sending billions to other countries, etc.

Agreed, and it seems very few were taught or learned the meaning of "caveat emptor". So many fools that are supposed to be so intelligent and superior.

What exactly are you getting out of someone else's Art History or Anthropology degrees?
