Trump ‘deeply troubled’ by Jack Smith admission of jumbled classified document boxes

This could be big news, or it could just be another delay. We will have to see how this plays out. But there have been a ton of strange behaviors from Jack Smith and the DOJ on these Trump cases that seem to be too many to be coincidental.

Jack Smith's team has said they rearranged document sequencing in the boxes seized from Mar-A-Lago. They also admit they previously misled the court on this fact. In prior statements, they claimed they removed the handful of classified documents that were at issue from the boxes that they were in and put a placeholder in the same location in the box, and all the records contents and records remained the same for the defense to build their case.

It wasn't a secret to the prosecution that the defense counsel has been using the contents and order of the surrounding documents to help build a case that the defense was unaware they were in possession of some, if not all, of the classified documents they are being charged with. They can no longer do this because the prosecution spoiled the evidence. So now, all of this time has been spent on this has been for nothing, and they lost this opportunity to make this case for their defense.

The prosecution offered some theories as to how the boxes may have become scrambled; none of them involved DoJ agents removing classified documents from multiple boxes and laying them out on the floor of Donald Trump's office for a photo op they released to the press.

In response, Cannon approved a defense motion for more time to review this new information and to put in CIPA requests. The defense is also asking for charges and/or the case to be dropped due to the prosecution spoiling the evidence and only coming clean this far into the process. I'm sure Jack Smith is fuming from the ears, and his team will be writing motions, intended for the press, to whine about Judge Cannon giving the defense time to recover from his screw-up.

Jack Smith is going to be PISSED!

 

Rearranging documents is minor compared to the photograph of top secret documents strewn about on the closet floor for the photo op.

Jay Bratt, the lead Department of Justice (DOJ) prosecutor now assigned to special counsel Jack Smith’s team, admitted in a recent court filing that FBI agents brought cover sheets reading “top secret” to the raid of Mar-a-Lago to use as placeholders in their gathering of classified documents.

Not to mention that Trump has stated he liked to keep the empty envelopes marked Top Secret for mementos and that the ones in the photo are empty. And this is the FBI who refuses to answer questions posed by Congress about ongoing investigations, staging photographs about an ongoing investigation specifically to release to the media

 

Yeah, the democrats out to prevent Trump from being reelected, really screwed the pooch, delaying all these Trump trials for years, all so they would be ongoing during the election year. They delayed them 1 year too much, believing they all would progress without delay.

 

There’s a lot of irony in Jack Smith complaining about the defense delaying the prosecution when he delayed his charges to time this process with the election. This particular issue could become very sticky and if they don’t have a good explanation for their conduct it could get very dicey.

Enabled Obama to simply take ALL his presidential records to Chicago when he left office with the promise that he would make digital copies for the National Archives and Records Administration. He hasn't done so yet. The archives have no knowledge or ability to know what all Obama took as Presidential records. Or seemingly no interest in finding out. If it werent for the double standards our government wouldnt have any standards at all.

 

The obligations that the defense is charged with, also apply to Special Counsel Smith. If the documents are not accounted for then he’s the one recklessly retaining classified information and not even securing it in a safe. They’re now somewhere anywhere but where they’re supposed to be.

It's not his fault the morons completely destroyed the chain of custody and couldn't resist the opportunity to stage some photographs.

 

They were just “out of order” and can’t find them now LMAO.

If anyone ever doubts that a prosecutor is the most favored person in the US system take a look at this absurdity for exhibit A

 

Keep in mind the 10th circuit said when in doubt, defer to the government. So a federal district court affirmed the power of the government and that very same government basically cannot account for the documents in question.

It makes the 10th look stupid as well and if I’m Cannon, I’m furious. My order would be simple: We’ll start the trial when and only when all of the documents are confirmed by the prosecution, the defense as well as the judge.(or if Smith’s team goes boo hoo, it could be a third party from the government that can confirm the complete accounting of the documents)

No more of the games if I was presiding. We’d find and then confirm and at last begin the trial

 

How about the fact that all the red and yellow cover sheets in the photo were brought and placed there by the FBI



The fact that the FBI even released the picture was bad enough. This, the FBI when testifying before congress repeatedly saying they cant comment to Congress about ongoing investigations

 

Everyone should be deeply troubled by this but the left are cheering.
