Why would you expect better from someone who infers that all the voters have voted in 'fools' to serve as National leaders?

All things not in the constitution are regulated by the states. This is why there is no Federal Driving Authority. Just wanted to put that out.

To the guy that said that silver coins were the last time our money had value.. you are very correct. Today's money is made out of worthless metals we are supposed to give value to, when in reality they are wroth nothing at all.

Ahhh so I would assume you condone the actions (A.K.A racking up a 14 trillion dollar debt and putting this country on the brink of economic collapse) our congress people and presidents since Reagan’s first term. Interesting.

You know, come to think of it, this thread is pretty irrelevant. It doesn't matter what is on our currency today. The Dollar probably wont be around much longer. NO fiat currency has ever survived.

Well, you should know what is said commonly about the word "assume". Take it to heart.

Now, if you were to be more accurate and make a representation that is more in line with the facts, then I might agree with that notion. It was President Roosevelt in 1933 who, by the force of a gun (military might) took all the gold and silver (which you seem to insist is the only form of money) out of circulation. Know your history. Especially on this subject matter. Not only KNOW your history, but also represent that history as it is written.... NOT how you want to interpret that history. HISTORICAL FACTS outweigh notions and ideas such as what you have represented above.

    Wrong like usual.

The US stopped making silver coins in 1970 (for circulation purposes. The mint does make silver coins today, but they are for collectors). From 1965 -1969 Kennedy half dollars were 40% silver, while the dimes and quarters were made out of the copper-clad crap. Prior to 1965, all dimes, quarters, half dollars and dollars were 90% silver.

Last I checked, 1933 came a few years before 1964/1969. So like you said, KNOW YOUR HISTORY!

I Wish I Had Some Silver Coins. In The Coming Double-dip Recession They Will Be Needed.

Gold would be even better. But that's somewhat harder to get.

I did have some gold (4 1/2 ounces) but I traded it in for Platinum.

JP Morgan is taking delivery of platinum.

Yeah gold is done. Platinum and silver and :gun:s are the only choices.

Gold is still a good choice. I like Platinum and Silver because they are industrial metals and with silver, the ground supply is dwindling and with platinum we only have a 3 months above ground supply.

You want to be holding something that has real value...metals you can actually make something useful with is real value IMHO.

I have numerous items made out of gold, and silver. Platinum I never really thought of.

Also, it was legal for Ameicans to own up to $100 (or 5 ounces) of gold coins.

    Executive Order 6102

So like you said, perhaps you should 'Know your history'!!!

Getting back to the subject of 'money'... and your insistence that 'gold and silver' are the only forms of legitimate 'money', allow me to present to you another group of people that you can argue your point with:

    http://moneyfactory.gov/uscurrency.html
Notice the title above and the label just before ".html" .

Notice at the linked website, the focus is on two things: "New Money" and "damaged Money". What does it speak in reference to? PAPER. Not Gold, Not Silver, Not Platinum.... Go tell all your complaints to those people... I would think that those people KNOW more about what is going on with the "MONEY" situation than you do.

I also noticed that in some of your upcoming postings (conversation with 1984 society) prior to my posting of this response, that you have indicated your purchase of 100+ ounces of Silver. What did you use to purchase that 'Silver'? FRN's, Plastic, other forms of PAPER? To purchase something, you have to use 'money' in this society. So what did you use?

That's pretty much like me. Although I am religious. What do you think of Ron Paul?

Well I think you would like some of his views.

But anyway, I feel that soon this (*)(*)(*)(*)ed fiat is going to be replaced.

If Ron Paul gets the rep nomination, Im sure I will, from what little I know abot him.

And I agree. This fiat currence we are using will be replaced, hopefully by a new currency backed by metals.
