Same old ridiculous blanket statement from JIMV (all poor people are lazy, all poor people just want to take from the rich, etc.). Come up with better counter-arguments, you're wasting everyone's time and losing the shred of credibility you have left.
I think it's exactly the opposite. Rich people want to get richer by making somebody else do the actual work. Rich people don't work, they extract. That's all.
Absolutely. Pick up any busines/money-related book and the common theme throughout is 'how to get rich using other peoples' time and money', just like the wealthy do! It's okay when the rich do it...go figure.
I did not come up with the phrase, I simply used another posters phrase in a sarcastic manner. I also laugh at the conceit that other posters not noted for credibility get to define the idea.
And in 'extracting' (having established through non work the entire system from laws to businesses) have created all non government employment in the country.
If you invest your money and "Wall Street" gambles with it and looses your money but some fat cats that run Wall Street profits from your loss...then, by all means...protest. Pack up your sleeping bag and head for Wall Street with your signs and slogans. From what I've seen of the Occupiers, I seriously doubt that too many of them got their life's savings wiped out by those evil bankers and brokers. In fact, I doubt that too many of them ever invested in anything short of a new iPod or a bag of weed.
