This shouldn't be too suprising. The vast majority of Americans are skeptical of government. Pure liberals are usually skeptical of the federal government's role in social affairs. Pure conservatives are usually skeptical of the federal government's role in economic affairs. Pure libertarians are usually skeptical of the federal government's role as a whole. It is only the pure progressives and pure populists that usually believe that government is, and will always be the solution.
Well it just seems it's hard to quantify is all. If you give me the link of where you got that info from I'll be happy to look over it.
I'm not sure what you think getting a job has to do with it. I'm talking about unregulated corporatism leaving the population defenseless agaist them.
Oh yeah.......... Most clear thinkers do fear it, particularly the growth and happy hyper-regulatory climate that the Obama admin has created. Small business is particularly susceptible and has even more to fear. If it isn't the massive overreach of the Feds......it is the overreach of the State. We are growing less free with each passing year.
Insurance companies for the health care industry have never been regulated to any tangable degree until the Affordable Health Care Act came along. until then the ins co was running Washington. We finally got a president with some balls in there to tell the ins industry who really runs this country.
LOL who are you? Ins companies have had no TANGABLE regs. Ever. They are left to their own devices and are allowed to leave sick Americans without coverage over pre-manufactured loopholes designed to get them out of paying for health care. It's a total conflict of interest that the American people have been forced to swollow for too long. I don't want insurance companies telling my doctor how to treat me, or what tests they should run on me. I don't trust the ins co to make medical decisions. I'll take my docs advise thank you.
Did the health insurance companies have any regulations? If so, what were they? You would rather have a bunch of bureaucrats in Washington, rationing more care than Insurance companies telling your doctor how to treat you. Medicare denies more claims than any private Insurance company. LOL, who are you???
What's sad is only American citizens fear our government. Iran is going to try to control the flow of oil and the Chinese are readying for the acquisition of the island of Formosa. We are broke and broken and the world sees it.
Wow. We trust people we don't know and don't elect to their positions more than the people we do. Essentially we don't trust ourselves. Thanks... I feel better now.
This post right here is why the education system is failing. Do you have any idea what the constitution is? Its a document that specifically spells out the powers and limits of the federal government. It is not supposed to be a tool for giving us protection from companies, but from the government.
Ins regs very from state to state, but a common one is to forbid a company from dropping a client due to sudden illness. But like I said, for every reg there are ten loopholes. That concludes my answer to your strawman argument. For the rest i'll say yes, I'd rather have a government health system ran by people held accountable by the voters than an industry held accoutable by share holders.
The President and Congress are not held accountable by the voters. What makes you think a government-run health system would?
That's exactly what I said. speaking of having been failed by the ed system, you don't comrehend what you read very well. The constitution protects us from our government but not big business. That is exactly what I said.
