You should educate yourself as to how close the election was. Please remember the vast majority of extra votes were concentrated in CA and NY. When you look at the difference, Biden won by very slim margins just like Trump did in 2016. Fewer actually. Having one sided victories in states like CA and NY doesn’t reflect the reality of how close it was.

 

On votes alone the election was much more staggering with Hillary receiving 2.7 million more votes than trump and Biden receiving 7 million more. trump called the prior one a “landslide” — this one was even greater so what would that be called?

Which averages out to 93% overall job approval from Democrats, 14% from republicans and 49% from independents. All of which show how polarized, divided and mega, ultra partisan we are as a nation.

What I usually do is throw out the Republicans and democrats trying to gauge job approval as you'll get almost total approval from democrats along with almost total disapproval from Republicans. I look at independents which are less to non-partisan, non-affiliated and I think gives us a better indication of what the nation as a whole think or approve/disapprove of Biden.

Independents now stand at 49% approve, 43% disapprove, 8% not sure/undecided or plain don't care. In contrast, Trump never had an overall Job approval as high as
49% in his four years in office from independents. His high was 48% back on 13 May 2020, Trump's low was 30% from independents on 30 Aug 2017. Trump's average approval rating from independents for his entire 4 years in office was 41%.

I'd say in truth, that Democrats approval of Biden is only because he's a Democrat, Republicans disapproval is only because Biden is a Democrat and independents haven't made up their minds yet about Biden. Heck, the news has been dominated by Trump with very little attention, focus given to Biden. With Trump's domination of the news, you'd think he was still president.

A serious opposition that really wants to win elections might run on draft legislation to eliminate the minimum wage for unskilled labor while providing generous subsidies for unskilled Americans who would choose to work for a "living wage". That would make a a lot of new happy workers and happy low income local employers.
