6 Million Pre-Existing Conditions

That's what we will have if Trump gets his way and breaks the ACA

Yes...the virus is a pre-existing condition...and oddly...Trump thinks everyone should get it

There's a conundrum huh?

 

The virus has rained on everything. I couldn't even apply for life insurance due to the pandemic. So, yeah I don't think insurance companies want to cover new people who might get sick. And if the ACA goes away then yes people with Covid will just be booted off of their insurance just like it was done before protections for pre-existing conditions became law.

 

USA health insurance NEVER wanted to cover pre-existing conditions, and have every insurance company used every trick they could devise to prevent or cancel the insurance for anyone who might be sick or could ever be sick.

Except, of course, EVERY OTHER health care system in the First World, who ensure health care from pre-birth to death.

And those health systems spend HALF the costs the USA to get BETTER health care and mostly better life outcomes!

But our health insurance companies in the USA make ENORMOUSLY better personal profits and retirement, so all is Right in the country!

I don't wish Covid on anyone, but when I read that people afflicted with Covid had resulting damage to their brains, hearts, and lungs, and that people in GOP controlled states refused to wear masks and social distance, I thought one good result would be a lot of GOP voters would now have pre-existing conditions and perhaps they would force their leadership to enact protections for pre-existing conditions if the ACA is struck down.

Then again, I am sure Trump is two weeks away from introducing that amazing replacement that covers everything and is a lot less expensive. I mean, he wouldn't lie about that, right?
