As mask mandates end for some, Oregon bucks trend and considers making them permanent

There is much debate about the "value" of wearing masks but Oregon and Michigan officials must think it's helpful as they are looking to extend the rules for mask wearing and social distancing.

Would you wear a mask for the rest of your life? Or, at least until your retirement?

 

Seems too much for sure.

Not to mention the other workplace restrictions they are talking about.

Bars and restaurants are ****ed if this happens.

 

I like my mask so much that I wear it while showering, swimming and SCUBA diving. I think that masks should be permanently affixed to our faces. They don't do jack-squat but it's symbolic of our handing over our personal responsibility to the govt

A related asides....you don't need shoes to run but they help!

 

Sorta ironic, Islam translates to "submission" and a burka is a mask of sorts...coincidence?

 

I used to run barefoot a lot.

There was a park that had a clay trail and I ran it barefoot. Would do speed work in a grass field barefoot. Too dangerous to do on the roads sadly.

Touche. The pressure to wear masks is softening in West Texas. I went to a restraunt that didn't require them at all and then to a HS baseball game that did not require them. People are slowly peeking out from under the covers.

 

You are like my son. He would race inside after school and drop in the foyer to rip his shoes and socks off. He said his feet needed to breathe. LOL I don't know where he got that because I ABSOLUTELY never walk barefoot. The only time I'm barefoot is in/out of the shower and in bed.

That is me. first thing I do it take them off.

 

I quit wearing one a couple of months ago.

 

I wear one in establishments that require it. I personally feel it is just being a dick to go into a place and ignore their rules

 

Do you? Shoes actually perform a utilitarian function. The keep you from stepping on glass (ouch) and other debris that could cause injury. The protect the soles of your feet from hot and rocky surfaces.
Masks? Eh not so much. I'll tell you what though, your free to start your own chain of businesses and demand no shirt, no shoes, no mask: no service. I'll applaud your right to the venture and frequent your competitors. Deal?

 

And if I wish to take that chance, why should I be forced to not just to enter into my favorite diner?

 

I believe it's a health issue.

Me too. I have no problem with businesses having rules. I just want the government out of the Covid business. They do a terrible job of it.

 

Yup, but that's precisely what Demonkkkrat overlords (and their multinational corporation allies) want to happen. They don't want capitalism. They don't want people to be free, able to make their own choices and earn their own living. They want people to be dependent upon the government so that people can be enslaved to it, their behavior controlled because government goodies will be dependent upon how well one behaves themselves with regard to government dictates.

This is all a big scheme to transfer power and wealth from us working class citizens (regardless of political affiliation) to big government, big tech, and other large multinational corporations.

 

Sounds like a drag, man...What are their leaders thinking, they don't want to be reelected?
