I'm not sure everyone will find this as funny as I do, but for those who do this will make you laugh, a lot! It really is the best April Fools joke ever - dating all the way back to 1985, published in print by the leading sports magazine in the US and coincident with of course the beginning of baseball season. The article is a total concoction, written by a prominent sports writer, facilitated with collusion from members of the 1985 Mets. At the time it was written there were few if any print media April Fools articles published by newspapers or leading magazines such as SI. I only learned of this brilliant piece of work about a week ago from a buddy of mine on Facebook. At the time it was published, it was widely regarded as a legitimate article about a guy that threw a 168 mph pitch - this is how well that joke worked! Other teams' managers were calling the Mets' manager asking if he was going to sign the guy. https://www.si.com/mlb/2014/10/15/curious-case-sidd-finch https://www.nydailynews.com/sports/...0210327-guiewjzgwjallbsyxsloqowhma-story.html
