The first thing I know about the first 100 days is wearing the face masks in Government buildings and I hope that stems the COVID-19 pandemic.

It won't - Biden will have a small impact on reducing the spread, but a better vaccination program will be a major help

He has said he wants everyone to wear a mask for the first 100 days. IF people would cooperate......it WOULD help to make a difference

What could be the best motivator for folks to follow through?? ideas??.

At this point it is too late. The ones that won't wear a mask are too entrenched in their denial of the science.

He and his team have the challenge of diffusing the Trumpkins who don't believe that Trump lost. His information flow will have to be accurate and credible . It will take time

I think you are spot on.in your assessment.

Wonder if he dares to consider some kind of penalty...........or would that make it even worse??

I guess there is no real incentive for the die hards to change.

He can't. He can mandate federal buildings and interstate transportation, but he can't mandate a state

The biggest challenge will be Biden himself.

I will not make any difference, the common cold virus is very small so it penetrates masks easily.
Dirty masks that is worn for hours on the street contaminates air in the public facilities helping spread viruses.

    @MiaBleu

Yes, Iran is a challenge, and there are many more.

    - Biden wants "healing" and "unity" he says. Can he reign in his fellow Democrats who are bent on revenge and cancelling Republicans?
    - There is a caravan of Guatemalans heading toward the border demanding that Biden "honor his commitments" to them.
    - He wants to raise taxes.
    - He wants to reinstall the individual mandate that was in the original Obamacare legislation.
    - He's got U.S. troops in harm's way in endless wars in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
    - He's got to lead on Covid.
    - He's got North Korea getting cranky again.
    - He's got China (his family business partner) that spies on us constantly, steals our tech, and maintains a trade advantage. Does he stand up for America, or is he compromised by China?
    - He's got a far left wing of his party. How does he deal with them?

The campaign is over. He won. Now the rubber hits the road. No Trump to blame. Congress is controlled by Democrats. No more Republicans to blame for anything, for Republicans control nothing.

It's all on him now. No hiding. No evasion. No shifting blame.

Biden did mention wearing masks in federal building for the first 100 days was important And I did know about and will be a bigger impact than you think. Simple as that.
You were right in what Biden said in his first 100 days. We want to get well in the country. We don't want to go back to March 2020 when it was that bad. We need to go forward.

One of the challenges will be China's belligerence to Taiwan. Biden has been on the wrong side of virtually every foreign policy issue during his political career.

Then he's got the building immigration problem looming. The left wing isn't going to accept anything less than full amesty and citizenship.

Iran will intensify their sabre rattling and present a problem.

North Korea will ramp up their aggressive actions.

All of his failures will be blamed on Trump. Just as for at least his first four years all of Obama's failures were bush's fault.

all Trump's failures will be blamed on Trump, the economy is ready to crash, the virus spreading like crazy, people can't pay their rent, are in debt

we will have to see if Republicans in the Senate block Biden from helping the people

It's time for the US to cut Taiwan loose. Not worth going to war with China over. But we should be generous in giving high-skilled Taiwanese visas to come live in the U.S. Same with Hongkongers.

Biden doesn't have to do anything rash on low-skilled migrants, just to contrast with Trump. Especially now that those migrants are voting for Trump.

We need to leave the Middle East entirely. Iran is not our problem. Let the Europeans and Chinese deal with them.

We need to leave Korea entirely. NK is NOT our problem. Let the Japanese and the Chinese deal with them.

History's verdict is not fully in on Trump. If the US suffers calamities that can be clearly traced to Trump Admin actions (or inaction), Trump's infame will only increase. I note that Trump was never really credited with the flush pre-Covid economy; people understand that the economy was only carrying momentum forward from the Obama years.

Good thing you’re not in charge, because if you were the world would be in flames.

    No, no, no.

I will not accept that any good news during the Trump administration was credit due to Obama, while any bad news during the Biden administration is Trump's fault.

Biden has an uncontested Congress backing him. The Democrats have spent the last 4 years telling us all why Trump and the Republicans are wrong about everything. Now it's their turn. With no one to stop them, they can do everything perfectly now.

No excuses, no evasion, no shifting guilt. It's their baby now.

The US is not in charge of the world - or worse, has only the responsibility for being in charge, with none of the authority. To me it looks like the world does a pretty good job of being in flames, no matter what we do. If so, it's very much in the US interest not to be hanging around, if/when wars do break out. Unfortunately, the people who are in charge share your blinkered conceit that the world cannot manage its affairs without us - and so, we're going to learn the lesson the hard way.
