Perhaps. But he has a history of saying he will look at diversity first. Not that he will look for the most qualified candidates.

it’s also inherently discriminatory to look to skin or sex as a determinant of employment

Qualification is often subjective, especially for something like this. It’s not a swim meet where he’s picking slower swimmers just for diversity.

Sure, that doesn’t make it appropriate to prioritize people based on sex or skin over qualifications. It’s inherently discriminatory and just plain stupid.

You already agreed that diversity can be a benefit if you’re not sacrificing qualifications...

I did. I also agree that prioritizing that over qualifications is a detriment and inherently discriminatory.

And theres no reason to think that’s going on here. If you’re claiming it is, then show me.

He has a history of claiming he will hire based on things like sex and race, not mentioning qualifications. Qualifications should come first in every situation.

For these jobs there is no definite qualifications, it’s subjective. Was Ben Carson the best guy to run HUD?

As this is a thread about the USPS board, can you explain how white people are under represented on the board? And just to broaden the conversation slighlty, care to comment on the representation of women, who I assume have a use for postal services.

The only way to pick the right woman or trans-man for any job is to know if they are a minority. No men should be hired for anything anymore.

So the freshness of an idea depends on skin color? I am not a righty, but I would like you to explain how this works...

Please explain what you did say:

"Diversity can add fresh ideas and perspectives. Not sure why righties constantly need this explained."

Yep, we hear this all the time from right-wing bigots: We have no problem supporting corrupt and incompetent candidates for employment as long as they are white males such as the Worst President Ever Donnie.

Is there a problem with a pubic board representative of the make up of public?
    Why?
