Even if the opposition stands totally against your values?

Based on her political views she is one of the more conservative reps in Congress. Swayed to believe what? That Trump lost the elections? Swayed to believe the truth? I guess that pretty much sums up the state of the GQP these days.

    No, they have not.

Oh, sorry, I almost forgot the mandatory emoji [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Sure. Well, I don't know what the Republican "ground" is other than disagree for the sake of disagreeing, but I am not a big fan of Biden, as I have told you in the past. Why not open a thread about it.

Is there another reason, like "fixing thing that are not broke"? :roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol:

Of course the bills stem the "stolen elections" conspiracy ideas. If they didn't believe it, then it would make zero sense to fix something that wasnt broke.

Because he withdrew his turtle head into his turtle shell. He is zipping his mouth out of fear of cancellation.

If they did, sure. But I think we can agree that most American politics is all about opposition for opposition's sake.

I'm going by polls - and as for the Republicans taking credit, do a quick search and you'll find pages of articles on the subject. Or a quick stroll through PF where this has been discussed and mentioned several times.

So those 94 Democrats voted against the stimulus?

Something doesn't need to be BROKE in order to prevent future problems.

So no voter laws have been passed in the history of the US unless it's on the back of stolen election conspiracy theories?

The standard which I was responding to was whether or not someone worships Trump. McConnell didn't worship Trump. Yet he is perfectly safe.

You said Dems voted for 6 trillion spending for this year, and I corrected your error. That's all.

There is a reason why you don't fix things which are working just fine. The reason is that the unintended consequences of your "fix" leave you in a worse situation than before.

I am not talking about history, I am talking about what motivated the changes in 2021.

As I said, he zipped his mouth when he realized that persecution of truth-tellers has begun. Liz refused to lie, or be silenced, and the entire party ganged up and made her cancellation a top priority. McConnel and many others are too afraid to speak at this time.

They did the killing and now they are trying to justify it, and some seem visibly uncomfortable by what they did, or by being too afraid to speak up for her. It reminds me of the Vietnam movie where a squad kidnaps a girl and some of them rape her and the weaker ones joined in because they were afraid of the others. Later the murdered her to silence her. There was one who spoke up later.

Correction - 1.5 trillion, soon to be about 6 after the next spending bill is passed. So, those 94 so called 'fiscally responsible', 'fiscally conservative' Democrats voted for the 1.5 trillion! :roflol:

Who said that it's working fine?

And what is the worse situation resulting from these voting laws?

You have no idea what motivated the changes this year. You're simply speculating.

When are you saying he realised?

Because she made telling the media what they wanted to hear HER top priority.

Ok...I know, It must be hard to admit. You lost. Stick with him...you'll get use to it. Outside of a few buildings, most of his projects have been flops. Think of how much better a good economy may have been without him and the pandemic.

I have not checked, but I am not sure what 6 trillion you are talking about. I know they are discussing a 10 year infrastructure plan, which would cost 2 trillion, but I don't know why you think its "spending for this year" if its a 10 year plan. Either way, the proposal seems to be to fund it by raising taxes, and ironically the GQP argues against funding it. So, "fund & spend" it more fiscally conservative than GOP "borrow and spend". I don't know if there are 100% fiscal conservatives in either party, but I do know there are fiscal conservatives in both parties who sometimes vote for spending bills, even big ones.

Obviously you are hell bent against forming a new conservative party because you are a.......Trump loyalist. Me, - I like the idea of a conservative party, because I have been an independent because I find both parties unacceptable.

DeSantis of Florida, and Gov of Texas etc said it worked brilliantly in their States, and yet they rushed to change the laws. Why? To support the "widespread fraud" and "stolen elections" nonsense their leader is spouting on daily bases. It's called "speaking from both sides of their mouth".

When you rush to change things, you often create new issues, so in this case they might actually open a path to fraud, and voter suppression is actually designed to reduce the number of votes, which is a bad thing in itself.

No, DeSantis said it was to prevent fraud, which he says did not exist in the first place.

Shouldn't telling the truth always be important? People want to hear the truth, not lies, but now telling the truth in GQP is the worst imaginable crime.

Of course not, and majority of Republican voters still believe in his "massive fraud" BS.

There is no doubt the GQP canceled Cheney BECAUSE they know majority of their voters believe in conspiracies, and they think they might lose them if they don't entertain the big lie.

"Biden is just more evasive in how he does it."

    Amen to that.

If someone were actually granted a one on one interview, I doubt Biden would be very good at being evasive.

Though he might ramble off topic and start revealing other things he wasn't supposed to.

It would be a long time before the Republican can bounce back. As long as Trump is still in the light, Trump is in charge or thinks he is and he can still do anything to those that are followers. They'll got after Liz Cheney as long as she is still out there. Cheney took a stand against Trump and the Trumpites will try to mow her down at any cost. Donald Trump will still do anything to get his way.

I think Democrats just felt extremely threatened by Trump, since he wasn't of the "typical" Republican mold, was actually somewhat of a moderate in many ways, was extremely popular with the masses, and came from New York so he knew all about dirty big city tactics.
