    Its quiet simple.
200.000 have died, thats a fact, on your watch, than those 200,000 are your liability, you are the President.
    The buck stops with you.
Thats why you are the President.
Its not the Governors, its about the President.
He was not fought, he fought the governors and urged his supporters to demonstrate against demorcate Governors and their Covid measures.

    He still does it.
Nevada, his rally, I am the President, screw you and your local laws, I pack the house/arena, no masks no distancing, screw the laws of the State.
He does it were ever he goes

The greatest country of the world, ever, gods own country, exaptational, the one and only.
It took it 8 month to voice this fact and than marginalize it again.
    Really ??????????????

    But MAGA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morons Are Governing America, thats a fact, undisputable.

If Trump had all that power over State governments he would have already sent in the military and stopped the crazy rioting, looting and destruction. He does not, which is why decisions were made by State and local. they requested assistance and got everything they asked for. The only thing he fought the governors over was handling the destruction that they had no interest in stopping.

His rallies draw a lot of people, yes they do. Democrats are too busy looting and rioting to worry overmuch about a Biden rally. What do you expect after our new Justice is seated?

I understand many people aren’t here to learn so that doesn’t surprise me. There are quite a few members who make intelligent responses to my posts. I don’t know how that would be possible without reading them, but I’m sure you’re correct....
If it’s too long perhaps you can get someone to read it to you. Or just respond without reading it like everyone else. :)

    The sad thing, they matter.
They pack the house for him and spread the Virus.
To me all of them matter. No matter what.
I bowed my head today and stood in silence and had the last salute played, 200,000 dead and counting.
    Lets not forget that.
Nearly 4 times Vietnam, in ten years and not 6 month.

They and their families do not matter ?

We worship every 911 the dead of that terrorist atak, but we have not jet have the US Government bow its head to the 200,000 that have died of the Virus, not even for one second.
Because it would be bad in a election year.
200,000 means failure, just sweep them under the carpet.

They can or they cannot. It is always about how many you are exposed to. There is no indication that this is a one and and you are done virus.

Nope they did not get the requested assistance, even today.
Bunker Boy told them, the Fed is not your warehouse, you are on your own.
The States and the Feds are competing against each other to get equipment.
He denounced Democratic Governors, because how they handled the crisis and encouraged his followers to demonstrate against them.

    Me, that is treason.

About the military read the constitution, please.

The National Guard is military and the Governors can request they step in but these governors refused that assistance and we still have riots.

    Me, that's dereliction of duty.

Which Governor didn't get what they requested, what specific item?

No need to wait a week or two, they took it down yesterday saying it was a mistake. In reality it has been known since about Feb when the virus spread through vents in Hong Kong I think, that it can spread that way.

The point is, aerosol transmission gets to more people and negates measures to control it, thus killing more people. Duh...

I'm confused, we heard this same thing in March when the mask topic came up in March!!!. Why do you think it changed? Did the scientists lie or were the ones saying cloth masks don't really protect and social distancing and washing hands are the best practice are just that much more advanced than the other scientists. I'm serious here, there has literally been political shaming over stupid masks that maybe can save one from large droplets but have ZERO protection from aerosol which, is how this virus spreads so easily. Did cloth masks mandates make people more comfortable and the unintended result was that it actually contributed to the spread because social distancing and handwashing were relaxed because you had a mask?

I've given the scientist a pass on alot of stuff since this virus was novel and we got sooo much bad intel from China. This mask bs is not one that I'm willing to give them a pass on. We heard early on this thing was transmitted by aerosol and that only a N95 mask could protect, then it changed and now we're acting like it's a revelation that cloth masks may not work.

To those saying it's old news: the now retracted (no doubt, due to political pressure; no bad news allowed weeks before the election) advice did contain some novelties.

    1. Contrary to prior statements, this time the CDC had added about aerosol, and I quote directly, "This is thought to be the main way the virus spreads." So, yes, aerosol transmission was known to the scientific community but the "main way" language is new. Initial perception was that droplets remained the main transmission route and aerosol was possible but not the main one.

    2. Other updated language in the now retracted advise read: "... and travel distances beyond 6 feet (for example, during choir practice, in restaurants, or in fitness classes)." Notice for example, "in restaurants" when in most places restaurants are being allowed to resume indoor service; notice "in fitness classes" when many places have authorized gyms to reopen.

    3. The update had added, "Use air purifiers to help reduce airborne germs in indoor spaces." First time this is mentioned; schools are reopening for the most part without such air purifying measures such as HEPA filters and ceiling UV lights.

Also, contrast this with the still official, to this day, WHO guidelines, which read that have acknowledge that aerosols "may play a role" but have yet to declare aerosols as a definitive contributor.

Like I was saying, it's the international scientific community that tried to reason with these agencies in recognizing the aerosol route. On July 6th, the scientific journal Clinical Infectious Diseases published the paper "It Is Time to Address Airborne Transmission of Coronavirus Disease 2019" which was supported by 239 scientists. The authors indicated that transmission was possible "at short to medium distances (up to several meters, or room scale)."

This is, of course, a big blow to the idea of reopening schools, all indoor office work, movie theaters, restaurants, gyms, churches, etc., all activities that heat up the economy, and curtailing them are notions that do not interest the current administration since it is focused on producing the impression that all is good and going back to normal, and they are insisting in attack ads (which air among others in my swing state), saying that Biden wants to shutdown the economy although everything is just fine.

Well, in part due to the predictable worsening of infection in view of the above, we're ALREADY experiencing another uptick, and it's probably going to get worse, but I'd expect the current administration to do everything possible to minimize it and avoid public perception that we're going in the wrong direction. See the end of the red curve:

Well that's not all he's said is the issue. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/transcript-dr-anthony-fauci-on-face-the-nation-february-16-2020/
Look I give them all a pass because it's a novel virus what I hate is that the dems made the virus political and use arm chair tactics to change history.

~ Some scientists ( not government employees ) are concerned that masks may actually be contributing to the spread as they give a false sense of protection. They do not stop the transfer of virus. People are not keeping the mask clean and often reuse a dirty mask. Also people forced to wear one for hours at work are at risk of throat irritation and mild upper respiratory infection. The cloth bandanas are even worse.
Once again we have been duped by our own "experts", news media and politicians. Any excuse to experiment in social engineering and dumb down the populace.

 ´And people complain that Trump is a liar.

AND CLOTH MASKS ALLOW IN droplets and aerosol, this is the damn problem. Maybe a mask can catch some droplets then you touch your mask. As we know, your cloth mask can also allow aerosol and droplets right on through them as well. The best damn practice is what everyone said in the beginning, social distance and wash your hands...Cloth masks gave the American people a false sense of security and those like yourself made it political and IGNORED the science. I respect those that early on that said unless you have a n95 mask and a face shield to protect your eyes than you should be practicing diligent social distancing and hand washing. The mask BS was made political during an election year

Good points but I'm not one of the confusing people... what I've been saying - and very consistently since I joined this forum (and used to say in previous forums I was a member of before joining here) is that:

    1. All advice given that masks do not protect the wearer were deliberate lies (recognized as such by Fauci himself in a TV interview; the segment has been posted and is available on YouTube) with the intent to avoid a run to masks, thus making them scarce for healthcare workers, a lie I've never forgiven Fauci for.

    2. Cloth masks do not protect against aerosol transmission. Studies have shown 7.25% filtration in this case. Bandanas, even worse, 2%. Neck gaiters are actually detrimental. Cloth masks do offer some protection against droplet transmission. So the novelty, as per post #93 above, resides in what route of transmission is the MAIN one. Previous notions pointed to droplets being the main one, and aerosol a possible but secondary one. This current (retracted) advice suggested aerosol as the main one, making the case for cloth masks even worse.

    3. It's not the scientists who are doing the damage. Science appropriately evolves as new information becomes available. As mentioned above, 239 scientists supported the aerosol idea in a paper published on July 6th. It's political interference that is screwing everything up, not science.

4a. Certain masks in certain circumstances do reduce aerosol transmission, like I've been trying to recommend to people over and over: legitimate (non-counterfeit; look for the CDC certificate) NIOSH N95 respirators provided that a good fit/seal is achieved, and ASTM level 2 or 3 surgical masks (look for the FDA approval for use in healthcare) when the seal is enhanced by three interlaced rubber bands or a brace made of neoprene rubber, or FFP2 masks approved by the European Union, all four can achieve between 94% and 98% filtration of 0.1micron particulates (the size of a coronavirus) in two ways; one, these ultra small particulates, unlike larger ones, behave in what is called Brownian Motion, so their erratic movements make them collide with the walls of micropores and make them get trapped even if the pores are bigger than their diameter, and two, the diameter of the coronavirus, 0.1 micron, refers to the naked virus, but the wet aerosol tiny blobs in which the virus travels are bigger than 0.1 micron.

4b. Do notice that this 94% to 98% is not 100% so transmission is still possible (although the viral load would be decreased; a good thing) so even wearing these advanced masks with a good seal should not encourage people to stop implementing other measure such as social distancing. Also, do notice that the best of masks will still be defeated if worn improperly, for example, by the imbeciles that pull it down under their noses or keep touching them. Also, masks can't protect the eyes. Goggles or face shields are advisable. The latter protect against droplets but not necessarily aerosol; a medical-grade pair of goggle with a seal around the lenses are good protection against aerosol traveling to the eyes.

    5. In my posting about school reopening I had already suggested air purifiers and several other measures including HEPA filters, ceiling UV lights, open windows, fans, and all of these aim at decreasing aerosol transmission because droplets themselves do get down to the ground thanks to gravity so merely distancing 6ft takes care of droplets, but does not take care of aerosols.

A lot of these notions above were greeted by others here as paranoia and fear mongering so it was good to see the CDC finally embracing them... just to see them retracted hours later, most likely due to political pressure. Sad.

It's interesting that your first paragraph is fairly accurate but then you launch into not realizing that Trump has been one of the biggest minimizers and spreaders of false information. You also seem to ignore the evidence, uncovered by the New York Times, that recent CDC statements have actually been authored by HHS staff under direct White House pressure.
