Former CIA officer Ralph McGehee blew the whistle on the agency many times but we have a liberal free press, so almost no one here knows about it.

lol rubbish. Outside of Western Europe almost the entire planet is run by dictatorships, and such 'democratically elected' people as Putin and that criminal in Venezuela. Some are worse than others, and in foreign policy it's much more often a case of supporting the least bad option out of a range of bad to worse possibilities. This is why they don't ask for or give any credibility to the opinions of uninformed reactionary morons on most issues, and the Founders chose a republic instead of a democracy.

And, for that matter, how does anyone here know for instance that Putin isn't the 'best' choice out of a bad lot? Anybody here know a whole lot about the Russian government and all the players to do anything but mumble some bullshit or other?

For another matter, how do you know the OP book isn't a disinformation ruse itself? Did it make anyone who read it feel like they're suddenly 'enlightened and savvy' and feeling 'Speshul' as if they now 'Knew Important Stuff', when in reality they still know as much as they did before reading it, i.e. just hearsay and gossip?
