..of voter fraud since the election

Yet for all of those claims and even with the Republican Party’s concentrated focus on the idea during the past six months, there remains no credible evidence that any significant fraud occurred. There’s lots of putative evidence, sure, random affidavits in which nonexperts allege weirdness or claims about ballot nefariousness that is quickly debunked. But even after months and months and months of formal and informal scrutiny, there have been no demonstrated examples of systemic efforts to commit voter fraud.

In fact, a review of local news reports shows there aren’t many examples of even individual voter fraud. By our count, there have been only 16 incidents in which someone has faced criminal charges stemming from their attempt to vote illegally. This includes instances in which it isn’t clear whether a ballot was cast but excludes failed efforts to obtain absentee ballots.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...zen-charged-cases-voter-fraud-since-election/

My apologies to those who can't read the detailed list of the instances of fraud. I'd post them but for board rules. Here's a random sample of two..........

    • A man from Media, Pa., who admitted to casting a ballot for his dead mother.
    • A man from Canton, Mich., who admitted to filling out his daughter’s ballot when she was at college.

I can't help wondering if, perhaps, the country would be better off if Repubs spent their time and efforts joining with Dems, on a state and national level, trying to solve actual problems facing the country rather than one that doesn't exist.

The thing is, for Repubs the #1 problem is their minority status nationally
    https://thehill.com/homenews/campai...ublicans-than-independents-for-the-first-time
and the threat it poses to their relevance. Rather than attempting to expand the base of voters their ideological extremism and the resultant unpopularity of the positions they hold has largely eliminated that option. So their strategy is to shrink the ability of their opponent's political constituents to cast votes. Making their #1 priority fundamentally anti-democratic.

I'd expect no less than cherry-picking nonsense from the Washington Compost.

Nah, you can do your own homework. I’m getting more selective about what tasks I do because liberals can’t do it themselves.

I'd rather not have the mods freeze the thread for a copyright violation. Here are two more, that's all I'm going to post.

    • A woman from Milford, Maine, who reported herself for voting twice, once by absentee at home and once in person at college.
    • A man in Carteret, N.J., who allegedly voted twice with different names.

If you think Repub legislatures are writing bills all over the country for the sake of election integrity............think again.

Florida is a model for voting. The GOP wants change anyway.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida was a model citizen when it came to elections in 2020. The state showed off its years of voting reforms. Even as Donald Trump railed against voting systems elsewhere, he praised Florida and urged his supporters to trust its vote-by-mail system. And, indeed, results were reported quickly and accurately. Turnout soared.

It was all overseen by GOP officials. And Trump won, continuing Republicans’ growing dominance in the state.

Yet three months later, Florida Republicans have set out to overhaul the state’s voting system anyway. GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday proposed an array of voting changes, while state lawmakers have introduced legislation that makes it harder to vote by mail. To explain the efforts, Florida Republicans point not to evidence of problems but to the potential for voter fraud and suspicion about the process.

"Florida Republicans point not to evidence of problems but to the potential for voter fraud and suspicion about the process."

    Suspicion fomented by baseless claims.

Democrats who registered from gas stations voted Democrat, lol. Democrats won’t clean voter rolls. Democrats don’t want to check signatures or require ID.

No wonder our elections are screwed up.

Ah yes, Democrats run the elections, the schools, the government, the media, corporations, entertainment, sports, banks... And y’all say they are lazy!

    What do Conservatives run again?

Na — because if that was the case a person would be able to supply corrected information instead of using elementary tactics like “do your own research”.

Yeah, because Democrats are so in favor of cleaning up the voter rolls, lol. It’s why they hire lawyers to fight those efforts every time.

Voter rolls should be cleared on the death of an individual or if they move out of their district / state. It should not be done because someone didn’t vote last election.

I did. So did others. Thanks.

Liberals should, too. It would make them more credible.
