I find highly partisan statements self defeating since that indicate a bias not based on evidence but on ideology.

I will not take the vaccine because I don't need it, and because the survival rate of being infected is around 96%, not going to accept an Experimental vaccine with the highest hospitalization and death rate in vaccination history.

 

TIME LINE

There was no indication that Covid would be transmitted to the US in 2019. It was thought to remain in China where it was mostly active. As SARS had done previously in 2003/4.

Besides, it precursor, the viral epidemic of SARS in 2003/4, never made it outside of China; so there was no indication in 2018/9 that it would exit China.

So, your question is irrelevant in that same context for 20018/2019. It was finally in 2020 that it was considered a world-threat because it then did exit China.

Whereupon a real effort began to find an anti-dote - which took about a year to evolve and prove effective ...

 

Do you think covid is the only virus that is passed through the air? Do you think covid is the only virus dangerous to the unhealthy?

 

I could really care less what you think. The facts are evident.

If you (1) don't wear a mask and (2) you don't get an inoculation and (3) you are not living in a sparsely populated town - then your chances of getting-then-dying from Covid are excellent. Good for you!

The rest of us who know better will be taking necessary precautions (and getting an anti-Covid shot) ...

Which is/was sufficient reason to take precautions and develop an antidote ...

 

Fact: Masks so NOT stop transmission.

Fact: survival rate of being infected and survive is actually over the 94% level and that is the for the over the 65 age group, younger ages even higher survival rate nearing the 98% rate.

Fact: those in hospitals now survive at a much greater rate than this time last year, due to medical advances and better drugs and earlier intervention.
The CDC said all this last winter, surprised you didn't know this.

 

The amount of ignorance and fear in this post is hard to overstate. FFS, man everything will be ok. Covid is a bad flu not the bubonic plague.

 

My question applies to all viruses, not just covid.

None of those things stop covid infections. My chances of dying from complications subsequently arising due to a covid infection are very very low. I'm not afraid of contracting covid.

You are going above and beyond what is necessary, due to fear. There is no such thing as an "anti-covid" shot. The covid jab does not stop covid in any way.

 

There is no "covid antidote".

 

These responses to " medical tyranny" sounds to the usual 8 yo crying over getting a spoon of cough syrup from mom and dad!

Twelve hours later, Cecere said almost her entire body was paralyzed.

“It was the scariest thing in the world to go to sleep completely fine (and walking), to wake up 1:30 in the morning and not be able to move at all,” the woman said. “I’m literally counting on my daughter to hand me my phone to call to get help.”
