Welcome, I think you'll enjoy it here.
I worked in the mental heath field for about 10 years and am somewhat familiar with the challenges that people with mental health issues face.

I'm sure that you have interests, hobbies and issues outside of mental health that you'd like to discuss and fortunately, this forum has something for everyone.

You've already taken the first step by introducing yourself so now, all you have to do is chose a topic and let us know what's on your mind.

What a nice name. A lot of people call themselves %#&^% here, so some effort in that area is appreciated.

If you have Mental Health issues you might have some care in dealing with some people here. OTOH you might fit right in

Normally I Do NOT Welcome, no one

@Sallyally on the other hand welcomes anyone!

No Doubt YOU Would Benefit From:
Stewed Beef or Lamb for the Iron & B12 and other essential nutrients.
If The Lord Intended YOU to be Vegan, YOU would be descended from Hindus.
Thousands of years bred them that don't require meat out of the population.
Similar to Carbohydrates and Native American obesity & diabetes rates.
My lineage was carbing for at least 3K years
YOU willing to take part in a genetic wash out because your closest
    forebears ate, meat? :omfg:

Thanks for the laugh. And for not making it an overtly partisan reference.

    Welcome to the forum.

Are you at all interested in near death experiences where people meet with a previously deceased pet?

I find those quite intriguing indeed.

Welcome back, there's no reason to apologize for not submitting posts since the purpose of this forum is to write what you feel like when you feel like it.
Good luck with your new medication and I look forward to reading your thoughts on topics that interest you.

Hi, WillowLily. Welcome. I hope this forum will add some value to your leisure time. I enjoy posting here (most of the time).

Regarding mental illness, you know, some people have a biological issue in their pancreas and therefore they have diabetes. Others have it in their lungs and therefore they have asthma. Others have it in their brains and therefore they have a mental illness. It's not shameful and not your fault. I'm glad that you do not seem to be ashamed of it given that you immediately disclosed it. I'm also glad that you are getting help, and that you are feeling better. Keep up with the good fight! People with mental illness can have very fulfilling and productive lives.

This is an interesting community but not everybody here is nice, just like out there in society at large. If someone mocks you for your mental health issues, just report to the moderators and put that person on Ignore. I hope you have a wonderful experience here. Take care!

I hope we hear more from her. She seems nice

You can discuss other things than politics here. Have you read much of Philip K. Dick?

Blade Runner was the movie made from the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. The book Blade Runner was completely different from the movie and by Alan E. Nourse

If you can you might try to find a copy of VALIS, which is IMO the most interesting book he wrote for those who have unconventional thought processes, like himself.
