When I was growing up, one of my best friends was Mexican. I didn't know that meant anything until I learned about racism towards Latinos. My friend was just like anyone else to me. I had to learn he was different.

Why do you believe that? I was a very long time Realtor and know as a fact that CA prior to the civil rights laws had already banned discrimination against others. I recall a female broker going to prison due to her news ads saying she did not accept renters from Oakland, CA. That was good enough to punish her.

Amazing how retro these attitudes are since white people as a percentage of the population has been declining about 3% a decade and many ethnic groups of color are more affluent than whites.
