I'm really troubled by this 2008 Vermont 'murder' / 'manslaughter' ~ esp. w/ brutalizing dying man!

So lets just say that I'm attuned to this legislation... Boys mature, I suppose, mankind might actually learn from their mistakes, at least I hope so, ... I am, none the less, troubled by this old murder / manslaughter case...

We are endowed by our creator & recognized (ostensibly) by the US Constitution with certain unalienable rights - Human rights (life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness)

    - Should an attacking "despicable" man be shot again, after a wound causing him to retreat away from you the 'victim'?
    - Should a "despicable" man dying on the ground (incapacitated) be brutalized - after he poses no threat?

I'm accustomed to the concept of death & killing (sort of) but not with 'toying with or brutalizing the trapped / mortally wounded' ...

Any way that's my contribution to 'Member Casual Chat'... S
