Conveniently leaving out the well-circulated (and highly credible) rumor that Falwell Jr. is the unborn baby's biological father.

So, let me get this straight:

He is paying off his mistresses (with church funds) and referring to them as his "Wife's Assistant"?

That is one helluva "fringe benefit".

And, to his Wife's credit, his Wife seems very open-minded.

There seems to be a "Ménage à trois" joke in there somewhere.

But, given the gravity of the situation, I shall fail to grasp at the low-hanging fruit.

I already said I don't care what the University does. Im not trying to excuse anything because the only thing he did wrong was (ostencibly) violate an agreement of expectation of upholding a some public perception with the university. I've nothing to do with the university. But I bet neither does anyone here in this thread, yet many here are jumping to the conclusion of 'he's cheating on his wife' with absolutely no evidence beyond this image, and probably, a large amount of bias against the religious- 'that's not how I think of Christians, so he must be a bad person.' Maybe he is. I have no idea. But nothing I've seen presented in this forum demonstrates that he is cheating on his wife, including this nothingburger picture.

Im not defending him, I'm defending the concept that people can be in silly/staged pictures without cheating on their wife, even when they're religious. That you can't understand that simple concept is a bit concerning...

The man claimed moral superiority, holds all his congregartion and student body to a moral code, and yet he isn't holding up to it himself. That makes him a hypocrit, and now your 4th rationalization for him, is a defense.

 

If you don't think this image is indicative of him cheating on his wife, then what are we debating? Thats the only part of this entire thread I've been addressing...

 

Oh, good grief. I searched Falwell, expecting to see some really lurid "sex photo". What I saw was a man and his co-worker at a costume party with their flies undone, but no nudity or scandal. I would think that Falwell knows that the TwitterVerse loves witch hunts and would know better than post a funny photo...but...sheesh. Cancel Culture strikes again.

Don't do anything funny on vacation and take a picture. It's 2020. You might lose your job.

First off I do not believe the JO was cheating with that chick. One needs to take it in perspective in that when your position is a preacher and/or you lecture and extol others to behave in certain way and you post a picture like that you are inviting tons of schiest upon your head and "you " will be be seen as a hypocritical ass. One needs to behave in a manner that is proper and good for the community, office, or position you occupy, who or what you represent. Your age has a lot to do with it.

Ok you say it was a costume party that is nice. He needed to use his brain and not his crotch and think about how bad this "costume" will appear. If this JO was a college student and not the leader of the gang it would be frowned upon but excused as a youthful indiscretion. This numb nuts is not a college stupid but is the chancellor of the college.

He is thinking that he is being equivalent to a pregnant woman who loosened her paints for a valid reason and thinks that exposing his crotch is equivalent. Think again Falwell Jr. Or maybe think for the first time in your life, young Falwell.

 

It looked to me like he was probably trying to impersonate her, but regardless, I am not going to shed a tear for him because of his many other things that should have gotten him disappeared from the university.

In 2016 Michael Cohen, Dirty Donalds lawyer, went to Florida to see if he could prevent someone who had sexual pictures of Jerry Falwell Jr. from blackmailing him. Cohen evidently threatened the blackmailer with exposure for his crime, unless he destroyed the pix. Cohen was apparently successful, which indebted Falwell to Dirty Donald.

 

I don't know much about the Falwell's but that is one really creepy, random photo that begs the question "are you on drugs?". I mean what was his thought process? "Hot girl, yacht, unzipped pants and pasty gut. I'll be a social media sensation!"
