He was an unarmed Hispanic, but whether or not women should fear "suspicious" black men, the point of the thread is whether to run or not run from police.

Originally, I posted that video of the Michael Ramos shooting, as a good will attempt to illustrate why running from police is not at all safe.

Now, I will add that you can see how from Ramos' perspective, eight police officers descended upon him "arbitrarily and for no reason at all" with rifles pointed at him. I can imagine being in his shoes and would have thought they cornered me for nothing. But you see that they weren't acting for no reason at all. Their behavior was largely based on false information from the 911 Karen (or Ken) who called was adamant to the police dispatcher that Ramos was pointing a gun at the lady in the car. So, I can understand his confusion and panic, but the whole scenario just really underscores that citizens must follow orders from police (and file complaints later).

Ramos could have filed civil lawsuits against both the 911 caller and against the police. Now, his mother will have to do that for him.

 

Well were does that take us, right back to the premise of the thread. They stopped him for no reason ,They shot him for no reason so he ran. how unusual. There is only one reason why he ran. Do you get the point or not. Were in here did anyone who understands what I wrote suggest there is no consequences for their action. (running) There should be no fricken reasons in anyone's mind that they might get shot for being black and nothing else. . Who created that monster.

That's interesting, I would love to see this proof of it happening "thousands of times a day". I get it if you think breaking a law is "arbitrary", but be honest with the reasons why this happens with some proof.
