New York State Attorney General Letitia James' predecessor, former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, warned the NRA that “key Democratic actors” were putting pressure on the Attorney General’s office “to pursue the NRA for purely political purposes.”

Schneiderman emphasized that while he opposed the NRA’s positions on the Second Amendment, he felt troubled by recent, extraordinary pressures being placed on his office by powerful political interests,” the lawsuit states.

The NRA was warned by then NYAG Eric Schneiderman that Governor Cuomo was engineering an attack on the NRA,” King said in a statement. “I was told Cuomo would use every resource to pursue his lifelong dream of defeating the NRA, and an ‘investigation’ of our Association was on the horizon.”

This politicized use of Public Power against Political Opponents has to end, and taking these vile AG's to court is the right way to fight it.

 

The left's logic doesn't float. So what if the NRA goes away, there are still hundreds of millions of guns in this country that aren't. So other than robotic hate on command, what's their point?

Sorry your wrong again, the NRA has been gaining members for the past few years and this action by NY will cause more people to join the NRA.

Most people are smart enough to see through what NY is up to, sadly or fortunately, depending what side one is on, the anti-gunners are not the bright.

Letitia James is not alone in her investigation, she is surrounded by very serious and competent people, and I am surprised that the members of this organization, which is supposed to be the champion of integrity, are defending the right of its directors to cheerfully dip into the fund.
