because conservatives have this thing called "morals" and "decency" and wouldn't use a person's death as a cheap opportunity to be like "SEE, TOLD YOU SO". This guy didn't want to wear a mask and paid the price. Corona virus doesn't have a political affiliation, its a VIRUS

Because "conservatives" think that the virus is a mild cold and not worth worrying about so obviously would not want to advertise the hundreds/thousands of daily deaths from the virus

You have artfully dodged any response regarding the matter of those with COPD, thereby demonstrating fundamental dishonesty in public dialogue and significant lack of empathy for those with certain afflictions. And you claim to be a bleeding heart liberal? :roflol:

How would him wearing a mask stop him from catching Covid?

I'm aware of 2 different people who caught it while wearing masks, and in one case wearing the full PPE regalia.

    Neither died.

Yeah wearing one of those surgical masks or a bandana or something is as effective against Covid as kleenex is against mustard gas.

The problem is... people who refuse to mask up tend to engage in other risky behavior and pal around with other people who don’t mask up

And they pass the virus back and forth... like this moron did

    It might have helped.

Anyway, I'm not castigating him for not wearing a mask, but we all know he might be alive if he had taken COVID-19 seriously. Or it may be his getting it was just bad luck.

I am. His statements and actions led to how many people catching the virus other than himself...

Don't know. Who would want to be responsible for spreading the virus?

A sub-micron virus is not stopped by a 3 micron hole in a surgical mask.

Nor does a mask stop it from entering your eyes.

I don't think he probably thought a lot about how his not wearing a mask impacted others.

Why does an open paper tissue drop slower than a stone? How can that be given that the holes in a paper tissue are thousands of times bigger than air molecules

Drag and buoyancy is due to presence of air molecules! This is observational physics from 500 years ago before molecules were even known about. So I ask again how can these particles thousands of times smaller that the gaps within a paper tissue slow down the motion of a paper tissue?

Agreed. I still don't understand why this has been so divisive.

If you understood the answer I gave, you'd understand I already answered the question.

Masks aren't designed to stop molecules otherwise it would be called a plastic bag.

Now explain why you're asking stupid questions trying to avoid explaining how a 3 micron hole stops a sub micron virus.

It's because it's a racist virus. It really goes after minorities.

Which minorities? Gender, Age, Race, etc.? When did that happen?

You clearly do not know what causes drag or buoyancy.

The ratio of size of hole to size of virus is hundreds of times smaller than the ratio of gaps in a paper tissue to size of air molecules. So once again, holes in a paper tissue which are thousands of times larger than air molecule slow down the passage of those minuscule air molecules. Yet you think that those relatively large viruses are not slowed down by the holes in a mask. And another difference is that air molecules are individuals unlike the virus which is expelled in droplets

    LoL.

So your theory is surgical masks with gigantic gaps around the sealing surfaces and comparatively gigantic holes in the mask itself are slowing down molecules sufficient to prevent inhaling the virus.

Congratulations on that conclusion. That's amazing.

They're not "slowing" down anything, they're trapping SOME virus particles in a mask which is stuck directly against your face.

I guess the Covid entering via your eyeballs doesn't concern you as much.

That sounds like a good idea.

You know, creating a nice warm, wet area for the virus to have a party on your face.

There's only one thing masks are good for, and that's stopping you from expelling large amounts of fluid long distances when you sneeze or cough.

Which, of course, is nothing that can't be done by staying home if you're sick, and sneezing into your elbow or shirt if you do happen to sneeze.
