    Whats up with pics from the internet that have a link so long that they wont upload? Is this an error I can correct? How do i post these?

    I believe those are copyrighted images that you need permission to use.

    It's called the data URI scheme which makes web pages load faster than using normal photo links for embedded images. Whenever we load a web page, the browser sends a request to every file that is linked in the HTML and CSS files. Using data URIs instead can reduce server requests.

    copy/paste would violate copywrite laws, share links suck imo...

    best way is to right click the image, select 'view image' and take a selective screenshot, then go to your image viewer, select that screenshot, copy it and paste it directly into the message body...

    in xenforo, there is no size limitation for screenshots...

    btw, you don't have to 'view image' first, you can take the selective screenshot directly from the page you're viewing. i do the 'view image' because it opens in a new window with a black background...

    edit: the copy/paste is also 'hotlinking' to the site you copied it from, in effect stealing their bandwidth...

    fyi, i don't do the 'save as' because of all the metadata that comes with it, ergo i screenshot everything, including text in articles... leaves no trace
