Here's a description of the first item in your article concerning undue influence.

I'd point out that the Trump administration issued false statements under CDC letterhead without their knowledge - a well reported incident of late last year that I'm sure you are aware of.

What I object to is picking some issue like this one and then proposing that it shows that the CDC is crap.

All of our institutions are under constant assault by various interests both political and corporate. It's a sign of HEALTH that those inside and outside are insisting on a strong ethical approach being maintained throughout the CDC.

    That's a link, not a description.

Nope, wasn't aware of it, but I'll take your word for it for now. I'm no fan of Trump.

The title of the article I cited is "CDC Scientists Expose Agency Corruption". It then goes on to cite various scandals at the organization. So yeah, I'd say it has a few "issues".

What I cited describes the first claim in the article you posted.
As far as I can tell, the issue here is that there is pressure being applied by corporations and politicians that these scientists see as unethical, and they believe CDC should be fighting against that more strongly.

Calling that a "scandal" hits me as ridiculous.

And, if that is the actual basis for anyone's claim that the CDC shouldn't be trusted, I'd say that is absolutely unconscionable.

Apparently Germans haven’t abandoned eugenics as some claim, eh? :)
