Before you go clutching your pearls and extolling the virtues of “civility,” let me say this: Put a sock in it.

This is not a new revelation, nor is it something that we can continue to ignore as though it were coming from a drunk uncle at the family barbecue. Bigotry is dangerous and, coming from our nation’s commander in chief, it can mean an inability to recognize individual humanity and a failure to act with moral authority in times of crisis. From Cornpop to 7-11 Indians to the racial jungle and most recently referring to an adult African American public official as "boy," Biden's racism is on full display as he exceedingly loses the ability to filter his remarks due to his declining mental faculties.

Biden's repugnant rebuke of American values did not come out of thin air. It unfolded days after media travelled with a delegation of elected representatives to tour detention facilities in border states. What they found was deplorable. Reports of rampant abuse and neglect filled the airwaves, leading Biden to again dismiss accurate coverage as “fake news.” Rather than focus on improving basic conditions and getting to work on bi-partisan, comprehensive reforms, the president basically said if illegal immigrants didn’t like how they were being treated, they should stay in their own country.

This isn’t simply disgusting and divisive rhetoric. Whether it is the abhorrent, inhumane treatment of illegal immigrants detained in government-sponsored concentration camps or the slow, bungled withdrawal from Afghanistan, his policies have been deadly.

Certainly, this is not the first time Biden has shamelessly revealed himself in public. His “Build Back Better” campaign was always about catering to our lowest common denominator—a hateful sector of the electorate that believes themselves culturally superior by skin color and wokeness.

Biden is not a fine person. His words Sunday were not racially “charged,” “fueled,” or “tinged.” They were unapologetically racist.

And, if you support him, so are you.

 

What I want to know is will they be required to mask up in the planes Biden is using to send them back to Haiti? Or is that just for Mercan flyers?

I don't agree with the sentiment patience coming here illegally shouldn't get legal status just like anybody else. But I think we should be evaluating and deciding whether or not to Grant refugee status to these people. They aren't fleeing a corrupt government well not anymore corrupted than anybody else's. They're fleeing a broken Nation. Haiti was devastated by an earthquake so I think Haitians have a little more reason to try and gain asylum but why did they come all the way here instead of the nearest safe Haven. So I don't really know what to think about this whole thing.

You tell me. You seem to imply that sending Haitians back to Haiti is racist so I would assume you think sending Mexicans back to Mexico was too. For me I have no problem sending illegal immigrants back. I also had no problems with a wall as long as tax payers did not have to pay for it.

Well, during the Trump years, you could not find a single person left of center who did not tell us that enforcing the immigration laws passed by the Congress of the United States was racist, and even some going as far as demanding the abolishment of ICE, implying it was some diabolical concoction of Trump's white supremacy and his acolytes.

If Trump deporting unlawfully present browns is racist, Biden deporting unlawfully present blacks is racist, and by extension: SO ARE THEIR SUPPORTERS.

 

So are you calling Biden a racist in vengeance for that or do you really believe what he did is racist? BTW I know many people that call themselves progressive or liberal that do not support illegal immigration. They may support ideas like DACA, which I oppose, but I do find it strange that you could not find a single person.

Intellectual consistency would dictate one person's behavior is judged on the same criteria as another's -- IF we value objectivity. Which, frankly most of us don't. So what I'm really asking is why isn't Mad Maxine Waters, for example, bloviating about Biden's racism for deporting 15,000 black people as it claimed Trump's sole motovation for deporting brown people was his racisssssss....

Remeber it told its followers to attack Trump supporters in restaurants and gas stations... because they were all racist for supporting him, or worse, working in his administration. But not a peep about all the racist Biden supporters??? Did it forget? Or...

 

Exactly...when I see big healthy men coming to our country because they are running away from the bad guys it seems that staying in your own country and making it America... instead of coming to America to make it like your country... makes more sense...

 

Well for starters if you want to talk "Logic" then you will have to understand the value you are assigning to the variable "A" has changed. If they have changed then "A" != "A". The need to simply complex matters into simple relationships is probably a mistake.

While I definitely agree with you that there are individuals like Maxine Waters that apply different standards depending on partisanship you seem to want to emulate them. To call people racist for wanting to sending people back for illegal immigration just because now it is a party you do not support makes you no better than her. Instead, why not applaud Biden for doing the right thing in sending them back. I may not agree with Biden on many things but sending back illegals is not one of them.

This thread is a callout to all the -- mostly left-leaning -- folks in the media, government, and even here on this board who parroted the fallacy that deporting unlawfully present persons was racist between 2016 and 2020, and now suddenly it's just the administration following the law -- the silence is deafening from those same people who literally screamed at the sky all about Trump's "white supremacist deportation machine."

I'll call it cognitive dissonance if I'm being generous.

 

It seems like you are attacking Biden for a policy you agree with in order to extract vengeance against some on this forum. Didn't old people like Biden have a saying for that along the lines of "Cutting off your nose..."

 

I think you're misreading my intentions, but that's fine. I'm just asking for intellectual consistency. I don't expect it, but I still hold out hope.

 

I get what you are saying the problem I have is the way you are doing it. Instead of doing it on a blanket level where you are attacking the masses, (like myself), target individuals. Maybe they have an explanation for their inconsistencies. For example using your terminology. If "A" = the event of hiring of white person over a black person. Just because one person may have done it for racist reason does not mean everyone that did the same thing is also racist. Cramming complex events into simple relationships does not work. There may be people that are logically inconsistent on their stance on immigration BUT maybe there are other factors.
