I understand why this is so hard to reconcile but no one should be surprised by what is unfolding. The character and principles of this country have been continuously under attack for several years. If people aren't swayed by what they've been witnessing than nothing is going to serve as their ah ha moment.

This is happening no matter what.

    VOTE!

    Stop twisting things.

The democrats are arguing against today what they were arguing for in 2016. That's not even debatable.

    Gobbledygook.

But it wasn't just the Senate, it was Senate, House and presidency.

17.5 million more people voted for dems than repubs in the senate.

over 9 million more voted for dems over repubs in the house

Almost 3 million more were cast for dems over repubs for president.

There is only one unescapable conclusion for across the board stats, more people want dems than they do repubs

There is NO counter argument to that fact.

The issue is that republicans lied, and are not men who keep their word.

That's the issue, their word is ****. They are hypocrites.

You wouldn't know fascism if it bit you on the gluteus maximus.

But, eradicating republicans, who are so off the chart to the right, is a noble effort. They are destroying the country.

You're conflating fringe with the majority of dems. Two could play that game, Trump is a fascist. KKK and white supremacists love him.

and white supremacist were are posing as antifa and left radicals encouraging violence

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...e-supremacists-far-right-racist-a9544276.html

    Feel better?

There are four journals of record, the L.A Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and the Washington post.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newspaper_of_record

You don't have a ****ing clue about what you are talking about Everything in that article is true. It has been reported in number of news agencies.

Trump has betrayed America, he is totally corrupt.

IF Trump jumps, you jump, you blabber whatever he blabbers. Trump is a Putin Puppet dictator loving fascist pig.

Trump is fanning the flames, and talks like a fascist:

His presidency is chaos, he's responsible for 200,000 deaths, owing to his epic incompetence. The man can't utter a compound sentence, talks like a thug.

He tries to undermine the elections, he calls the press 'the enemy of the people'

No president in history has done that, no president in history has undermined the elections, accused opposition of rigging the system, when, in fact, it is republicans rigging the system
engaging his voter suppression, caging the vote, closing down polling places to cause minorities to wait long, putting hurdles in front of minorities to discourage them from signing up
then he colluded with Dejoy to dismantle machines so he could slow down the post office, well the courts told him to reverse everything he did, including go back to treating
mail in votes like priority mail, dejoy wanted to treat them as first class.

We are pulling Trumps covers, he's the very definition of a fascist.

America is chaos and even Kellyanne Conway said he benefits from chaos. No wonder he likes it.

People are at each others throats, and at the center of it all, is Trump, fanning the flames.

If the damn thing quacks, it's a ****ing duck.

Trump is the absolute worst president his history, America is in serious decline. He is the most corrupt president in history, and the stink surrounding him is a mile high and his followers can't smell it. It's like you're in a living room with a giant turd in the center, and you can't smell it. The nation is falling apart, and the president is a bankruptcy king. Wonderful.

GOP is a runaway criminal enterprise, trump's very best people are indicted, going to jail, or in jail.

    indictments.jpg

I know, 'trump hater' well, there is a reason, HE'S DESTROYING THE COUNTRY AND HE'S A THREAT TO THE NATIONAL SECURITY OF THE UNITED STATES.

Manafort gave Killinick sensitive voter demographic data which the kremlin used to target dems to hate hillary and help Trump.

this is an established fact. If that isn't collusion, what the **** is?

Yeah over 130 documented contacts between Team Trump and russia. russians are coming out of every nook and cranny with this white house. wake the **** up.

Deutsche Bank lent Trump $500 million dollars while Russian state bank ( that means Putin ) loaned Deutsche Bank the same amount of money.

That means Trump is beholden to Putin, which explains his obsequious behavior towards him. Trump is a Putin Puppet.

The Mueller report is over 400 pages, and the Senate intel report is over 900 pages.

    Deal with it.

Nice attempt at a twist, but no dice. The Democrats are simply trying to hold the GOP to their own "rules" from 2016.

The "advise and consent" for Garland never took place, at McConnell's direct refusal. And that was more than eight months prior to the election.

The fact that the right has absolutely no problem with the blatant hypocrisy of congressional Republicans in this matter tells us a lot. Win at all costs, by any means, right?

The Democrats need to learn how to do that ... stop behaving honorably and pull out every dirty trick they can come up with. Otherwise, this country will continue to be under the tyranny of minority rule.

That isn't the first time someone on this thread has tried that twist of logic.

Democrats may be whining, but with just cause. If you don't get that, you're too far gone for me.

Nonsense, Democrats were whining before and will whine for another four years regardless of what does or doesn't happen. It has become meaningless to care what they are whining about today, whether they feel they have cause or not...

I twisted nothing. The democrats are advocating EXACTLY opposite from what they did in 2016. You can't get around this....it's a fact.

You just hate that your side is being shown to be hypocrites too.

I could also say that Republicans are just doing in 2020 what democrats said they should've been doing in 2016.

Another thing I could say is that if the shoe was on the other foot, the democrats would be doing the EXACT same thing Republicans are doing. So any self righteous nonsense the left wants to throw out is total BS.

    Oh, ffs.

Democrats aren't trying to reverse what happened in 2016 when Obama nominated Garland and McConnell refused yo give him a hearing. They are trying to get McConnell and other Senate Republicans to apply the same "rules" that they applied then.

    There's a history of same-party politics:

    https://www.republicanleader.senate...S. history,those 8 nominations were confirmed.

Both parties do what's in their best interests, but in this case, my point is that the same Senate leaders who made specific excuses four years ago are now doing the exact opposite of what they claimed to believe was the right thing to do.

Gun sales have never been higher. Leftist idiocy boosted the Second Amendment like nothing before. More women are taking gun classes and open-carry is now coming back into style. Enough's enough. Get government out of telling us how we may defend ourselves against the government.

Punish for following stated law? And then leftists expect the right to follow the law in return?
